Red Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 From the clip I heard I'd definitely compare it more to St. Jimmy than the comparison to Peacemaker that I saw earlier, however that was only 5 seconds of it and the rest of the song could be completely different, probably not but who knows..? Bottom line is I fucking love what I heard.

I've had at least ten all nighters throughout my teenage years, waiting for Green Day stuff. The first one was the Working Class Hero single/video in 2007, the latest was back in 2012 I think. There are two kinds of those moments that always top though, and that's the day of the lead single, and the day of the album release. I was on here when Know Your Enemy dropped. We had this weird basketball commercial to go from. They had used snippets from the song, but is was all mingled up and gave a weird interpretion of the song beforehand. Then I was on here for the release of 21CB, and to this day I'd say it was the best day as a Green Day fan I've experienced. Then I was here for Oh Love, and Uno as well, though I don't recall those as fondly. Thought I was getting too old for this shit, but nope. I'm pretty hyped for this. I don't think I've been this hyped up for an album ever before and I also haven't been ever since. Just like you, I also thought I had gotten too old for that shit, because I never really cared about the trilogy. This feels different now, I can feel my inner-teenager coming back.

Edit: My phone has run out of fucking data. I was gonna listen to Today FM on my radio app! Guess I'll just find a radio stream online. (and in case you wondered I decided to listen to it live because I'm patient enough to read this entire thread but not enough to wait an extra two hours until I'm home to listen to new Green Day)

Sounds like a way better plan than sitting at work all day listening to the radio and hoping they might play it ealier than announced. I finish work at 3pm today, so hopefully I'll be home before 4pm (which is when it's supposed to be released here), so I can be back on GDC before 200 new pages appear in this thread.
