I dont recall seeing anyone posting about this but the guitars on that 5 second clip already sound better and mixed better than the guitars on the trilogy.

I agree, its hard to make out exactly how different the guitars sound compared to older Green Day but it definitely sounds much heavier than the trilogy which is very, very welcome to me.

Hearing that clip the first time almost brought a tear to my eye when I heard that it sounds nothing like Xmas time of the year haha.

I forgot to mention that vocal harmony at the beginning sounds really great too.

Hope we get some more info about the album tomorrow. Possibly a cover, official title announcement and a tracklist. Would be really dope if they surprise dropped the entire record on Thursday night when iTunes updates since it is apparently finished. Have the physicals arrive in the fall or whenever.

Nowadays you can literally release an album within hours of mixing and mastering it, so the delay kind of seems irrelevant at this point. All you gotta do is throw it up on your official site with the ability to pre-order the physical CD/vinyl and receive a free digital download to hold you over til it ships, akin to buying physical off of Amazon.

I've gotta say, I listen to so much music nowadays that I don't really get that excited for new releases anymore, no matter how much I like the artists, and I assumed this would be the same.

I was incredibly wrong. I haven't felt this much anticipation for a new song since the trilogy era. Seems like Green Day are the only ones that can still put butterflies in my stomach out of excitement. So, so pumped

This is the front of the Ohio Statehouse, a beautiful area filled with gardens that's across the street from my employer. Four years ago, I sat here on a bench as a college intern on my lunch break to listen to Green Day's new single (Oh Love) for the first time. It's kind of surreal that I'll be sitting here tomorrow morning during a coffee break to do this again, now as a full-time employee.

I'm so excited! Let the new album hype begin!
