So seems like they're breaking from the pre-Trilogy tradition of releasing the lead single followed two weeks later by the album release, given that we still haven't had an album announcement yet.

 

Do you think we might get another single before the album release- maybe with a couple of b-sides like the good old days (although seems like proper b-sides aren't really a thing anymore with Green Day and a lot of other bands....not including live versions of songs)

Well, they can use the car, any similarities with other videos are pure coincidental Come on. xd
And yes maybe could be something like Boulevard of Broken Dreams, but the car is just a car, what matters is the song so, not a big deal here.
Still, if they use it to ride while singing in the entire video i'm ok with that, that would be fun to watch!

And again if they already shot the video, its a real huge surprise!

Listening to Pink Floyd i realized that the "green day" text on the bang bang cover looks a bit similar to the  "pink Floyd" in the wall

yeah i thought that too. i was discussing this with some of my friends, that if you follow mike and tre - then you definitely follow billie.
