The Grateful Green Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 WMMR debuted Oh Love when it first came out, and they were pretty honest about it being "eh". So if they like this new song I'm gonna be even more over the edge excited. I listen to preston and steve and the station itself all the time in the car since I get Philly stations in dirty jersey.....that being said, this station loves the day of green so I wasn't surprised they chose this station! Long Live Green Day!

Scott F Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I just called The Rock radio station in New Zealand and spoke with one of their content directors, he confirmed to me that he has a meeting tomorrow afternoon with Warner Bros and will get a listen to new Green Day music. He said they will release the song as soon as they have it and they would know more after tomorrows meeting. So there is awareness with radio stations outside of the United States which is pretty cool

Regardless of whatever meaning the song has, it's new Green Day material besides that bizarre trilogy era Christmas theme. I think the new album will be pretty political, up there with American Idiot, probably. Billie was called out on Twitter a few weeks ago for tweeting too many political posts, and he replied that that's what his music is for. It's his outlet for problems, and this year had brought an abundance of political problems, from the election, to the transgender bathroom issue, attack on the black community and LGBT community, there's a lot to be talked about that like American Idiot, no artist has been brave enough to speak out about.

It's unlikely. Normally in situations like this they'd get a copy that's "watermarked" meaning if it was leaked, the label would know exactly who it was.
