KGLWW Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 The leak sounds way too close stylistically to what we've been expecting. It goes with the artwork, name of the album. I find it hard to believe someone could replicate their sound that on-point and almost advance their sound in that way. I think it's such a rare thing to find fans that can replicate them that closely. You can usually tell right away if it's fake. I wouldn't be surprised if it's an official teaser that got out early somehow.

I remember back in 2000 when people were using Limewire to download mp3's, just before Warning came out, Pinhead Gunpowder's "Second Street" was going around labeled as "Fashion Victim". And you're still really cute...

Josh100_3 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 I was prepared to take that 30 second sample with a universe sized grain of salt but that sounded way too close to Green day.... If it speeds up after that intro then it fits every description of the song we've had. Either way, how exciting!

cabot_girl Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 It's sounds alot to Green Day in my ears also...of course you could never tell, but anyways....that clip is not bad at all

TheNimrod51 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 It's been way too long since I last posted, but that 'leak' was gold regardless of if it was GD or not. I hope that's the direction they're taking with this album. The guitar tone was crunchy and hit hard. I simply can't wait for this new album and tour. It's been too long.

It might be a thing, but I have never heard of that. Kanye West, Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Radiohead, Rihanna, James Blake, likely Frank Ocean etc. and that's just this year. 4 hours ago, StefanoBras said: "The palm muted part", yeah it sounds like any palm muted part on any song ever. You know that doesn't exactly paint that in much of a better light 4 hours ago, James11693 said: Anyone else think track 4 is a little early for ballad? If it is ordinary world Hopefully it's not even on the album, unless it went through a pretty drastic overhaul. Personally found it to be kind of ho hum, like Billie kind of slapped it together real quick without too much thought. Also can't really see it fitting into a Green Day album, didn't really sound like a Green Day song, although like I said they could completely change it, if it even is on the album, which I doubt. Would be a really weird inclusion.
DookieLukie Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Everything about the "leak" sounds very Green Day (the Insomniac-style bass, chugging guitars) except that chimey background guitar that comes in at the end. Sounds like something from a Social Distortion song. It also has the same tempo and drum beat at the Rock Hall transition between When I Come Around and Basket Case.
Jessie Armstrong Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Kill your television Perhaps it's a line in Bang Bang, or it's just Tre being weird.
DookieLukie Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Billie promoting at midnight PT time again. Why don't they promote the single a little better than this, tbh?
X-Kid_88 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 On radio x they said that the album would be out in October/November. It's an online radio station that a friend of mine listens to. He just messaged to ask if I'd heard there was a new album coming out and quoted the station

Jessie Armstrong Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 I hope Kill Your Television is somehow a part of Bang Bang and is talking about how the media on mainstream television can distort things and how you shouldn't take the news at face value.

Well he does LIVE in the US so I doubt he's 1) staying up late just to post in other country times 2) marketing his new album to every other country but the one he lives in.
Harry Potter. Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 marketing team is using billie's account to announce the new single *mind blown*
Lacky Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Maybe he posts things just when he wants to do that? Not everything in the world needs a speculation
