Whatsinaname Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Well, this 52 year old Grandma is super excited to share new Green Day songs with her grand children. They will be the youngest fans

kristóf Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Everyone's talking about gun control, but could be a Fuck Time-follow up... I wanna Bang Bang you you fuckin Rihanna To be serious though, I'm sure if its a political one (why wouldn't it be) it's surely coming out before the elections. So, that means what, Americans, late October-first week of November?

kristóf Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 There might be some use of pricks like Donald Trump & republicans after all. They make Green Day write better albums!

kristóf Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Ok ok sorry might've went too far with the last one. Spoiler Edit: though I can't see how can any hardcore Green Day fan vote for Trump, no gun control, climate change denying, but lets not get stucked with this topic

No harm done, though.

For a lot of songs, it's hard to even tell they're meant to be political if you don't look into the lyrics much.

You don't have to agree with a musicians opinion to enjoy their music, especially if it's not in their songs. For example - I still like Lostprophets even though I hope Ian Watkins dies a horrible death.

True, I mean they call the whole AMerican Idiot album "anti-bush" but if you didn't have that background information you wouldn't really think about that listening to the album. You get caught up in a story.

Whenever I remember the songs I also think about Ian Watkins raping a baby. It can be much more easier to listen to Green Day as a republican I suppose.
