I don't think so, for me it's too early, the album is not out yet, and where this french guy has learnt the new? Too strange for me

I agree with this but again, the timing of the tour itself is pretty realistic if they decide to go to Europe first

The first leg of the 21st Century Breakdown European tour was announced on the 27th April (it was the day after my birthday  ) and the album itself didn't come out till around the 15th May. I don't think an announcement this week would be very early :)

Don't forget that we were also told "soon" on here.

And that it's a regular kind of soon, not a GD soon :)

Why they would start by Europe? They always start by US  then european  tour about april/ may/ june... Too weird for me, I don't trust a guy who can't confirm his source.

ok just saw this: http://www.sortiraparis.com/scenes/concert-musique/articles/123517-green-day-en-concert-a-l-arena-bercy-de-paris-en-fevrier-2017

Also the guy who first announced this has done it many times before.

I'm pretty sure we're gonna have an announcement tomorrow based on the knowledge we have.

That guy is a very reliable source, he has himself his own sources, he always announces shows in advance ! I think that it's just a matter of time before they announce the long awaited World Tour :)
I'm not really far away from Paris, so if it's really going to happen I'll be definitely there !

Many bands announce dates on friday or monday, then the following wednesday there's presales for fanclubs or special ticketing services and then the friday (in this case 9 september accordig to the french news floating around) the usual ticket sale starts

If this is correct and I'll join IN right away following the announcement, would I be able to purchase the tickets in the fanclub presale on Wednesday?

Whenever there is a presale and you join IN, you can buy tickets right away.

Sure. :)

I have kept checking the website since Bang Bang came out. All that's new on the site is preorder information regarding the album and fan of the month. :P

Why are you guys thinking that Europe is going to come first? The album comes out in a month and this Paris thing isn't until February, they're not going to sit still in their homes until then. If we have a (kind of) a show on the 23rd, some more Canada / US dates will follow for sure, whether is straight after or maybe in October / November.

I'm positive they'll play the US in fall, then Europe in spring/summer, later back to the US, Southern America, Canada and maybe Asia. I suppose they will come back Europe again in 2018 at least for festivals.

We think that europe dates will be announced tomorrow because of that ticket sale that apparently starts next friday. We're not saying europe comes first. I personally think that they'll announce north-american dates AND european dates tomorrow. Because north-american concerts aren't announced as early as european ones are.

sure it could be different. But i have a strong feeling that they'll announce north-american dates for this year and european onces for next year, but my strong feeling tells me the announcement will be tomorrow.

This. Am waiting with baited breath on an announcement. I'm more than ready to blow a lot of savings to follow tour this time!

I could be wrong but I thought US tours took like 3 months? That would put them in January if they started in October, then they'd have to head pretty much straight over to Europe and not have a big rest.

Again I genuinely don't know how long U.S. tours take

In 2009 the arena tour was from July 3 until september 18 or something. So about two and a half months.

21stCB American tour was July 3rd to end of August, with Europe starting in September..

So America in October/November, with Europe in late January/February would make sense..

Guess it would, thought they'd want a longer break!

They've also toured Australia in December in recent years :) They make take long breaks between records, but when they get back to it they can go hard

It better be straight after so we can #Canada

tbh I just need America/Canada dates either before October or December/January and I'm happy

I'm really pissed off, because there are only two months in the year, when I really can't travel - January and February. So I think this time no Green Day show for me

Me to, but mainly because I think it's a really shit time to tour europe.. IF it's even true. But hey, I'm sure the tour will stretch further than february if that's the case, probably in to march and maybe even longer. Don't loose hope :)
