punkangel Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Something tells me that tour dates are close... And the music video... And the promotion. My body is ready.
GuitarPunk94 Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 this is very interesting! im glad i safed some money for the tour (plus bday next monday=more money ^^ ) i hope this turns out to be true .. could mean we will get an arena tour (this paris location has max. 20.000 capacity, could mean they will play some smaller venues in germany too) last time they played in such a venue in germany the standing tickets sold out in like 20 minutes .. festival shows in europe during summer 2017 seems likely to me .. and open air concert dates in summer 2018 hopefully
PursuitOfEpicness Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 90 percent of why i'm checking every social media is to see if there's any news for announcements yet haha

Tickets will be on sale on Sept 9th. http://www.byzegut.fr/2016/08/green-day-concert-paris-bercy-3-fevrier.html That guy is a very reliable source, he always announces shows in advance! It's a matter of time before they announce the world tour What shows has he announced in advance before? Some examples please? Sorry for being so sceptical but this is a serious subject
OliDayyy Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 He wrote before the official announcement about Green Day's stadium show at Parc des Princes back in 2009/2010: http://www.byzegut.fr/2009/11/green-day-26-juin-2010-parc-des-princes.html?m=1 In 2012 he also announced the small show Green Day later cancelled at Paris Trianon: http://www.byzegut.fr/2012/08/green-day-en-concert-au-trianon-le.html?m=1 He announced shows of Muse, u2 etc As I said, he's a very reliable source (he works for one of the biggest national rock radio station). I wouldn't have posted about it if I doubted about the info :)!

jengd Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 This could be perfect timing for me, would be very happy if tickets went on sale 9th Sept as I have the day off which makes the mad scramble for tickets easier. In 2009 I was at my desk with a big notice saying that I wasn't really there, leave me alone, had the tickets in my basket and was just finishing up when the fire alarm went off and I had to leave it. All tickets gone in something like 40 seconds and then had a nightmare getting them - still traumatised! Was worth it though 😍

In 2009 I was still at school and my mum wrote me a note so I went in a few hours later...after I'd secured my tickets this year I'll probably be at my work desk, at a computer, though I'm not really meant to use it for things other than work so I'll have to be discreet
silviagreen Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 The same blog today posted this: "Green Day headlining Download 2017?" http://www.byzegut.fr/2016/09/green-day-tete-daffiche-download-2017.html?m=1 So they're probably coming back to Europe for festivals on June/July 2017
OliDayyy Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Yes, not surprising! I'm not sure if he talks about the French or UK edition of the festival though. They may be headlining both!
solongfromthestars Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Great news but bad timing for me, looks like the UK tour will be in the middle of my final year like I thought. I'll have to work extra hard if I want to do lots of shows, I guess
Mary Daze Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Oh my gooooodddd this is SO exciting! I really hope it's true!
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 I'm already so excited and nervous jfc.
DecanoLP Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Hurricane and Southside Festival will announce their first headliner next week. I'm sure this will be Green Day then.
Joe K Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Srsly I hope they announce the paris show or the whole EU tour tomorrow. I can't wait much longer!

I'm sure this will be Green Day then. This would make sense if the Download rumour is true, festivals in June in Europe sounds like a good idea. But I'm not too sure that they would want to announce two European legs at the same time (arena tour in February considering bercy and stadiums/festivals tour in June considering this). Doing that for sure will make many fans wait until the summer instead of going twice to see them.
