spark in the night Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 I would gladly welcome them to drop their old routines of King For A Day, Hitchin a Ride, etc for something new and fresh with this era. I'm afraid they will stick to those same performance routines and just insert new songs where old songs used to be. I want something brand new! Play old songs sure, but enough with the masturbation, and extended cover song medley. I don't really know what they did on their last tour...was that 2013? Lol
gd86arg Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Somewhere Now Tour would be a good name for the tour better than Revolution Radio Tour

Lol Last tour they've already dropped the Hitchin a Ride routine. But I seriously hope they don't ditch King for a Day for this tour it's perfect for general public entertainment, and makes me happy every time! I would say my favourite part of the show.
sara_gd Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Can any of you magic proxy knowledged people see if the word "tour" is in any part of their website?

I haven't seen any details on a tour, though it would reasonable to expect a North American leg in late fall/winter and a European leg in spring/early summer to have a spot on the main stage of the summer festivals (Reading, Pinkpop, Werchter, Rock Am Ring, Glastonbury etc).

So what are the odds of them coming to Huntington Center (for you) or Natiownide Arena (for me)? I think Huntington would be too small. But Columbus is bypassed by most artists who choose Cincinnati or Cleveland instead. Methinks a road trip is inevitable for us, probably out-of-state. While Huntington Center has been getting some decent acts more frequently, I can't see Green Day playing there. I'd actually be surprised if that is a tour stop. I bet they'll hit Cleveland, if they hit Ohio at all. Knowing them, they'll skip Ohio and go straight to Detroit.
Dakke Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Does anyone agree that they should make another 'best of' recording of the tour like Foot in Mouth, Tune In Tokyo..., BIAB and AAF?

Depends what the setlist's like, if they do a lot of the new stuff I reckon they might.

It's always nice to have high-quality liver versions of earlier songs like Going to Pasalacqua, plus I'd like to hear more Cigarettes & Valentines songs played live.

Yeah, I think Detroit, Pittsburgh and Cleveland would be the closest options to Columbus that would make sense, in that order, but I'm still selfishly hoping for them to stop in Columbus... because they already granted my wishes once before in terms of venue-of-choice, why not try to go 2-0? Depending on our schedules and how the tour pans out, Brandon and I were considering going to their inevitable Chicago show and turning it into a mini-vacation, since he's never been there before, but I have a feeling that could get expensive. But we haven't been able to take a trip anywhere far away since Vegas with you guys (unless Frankenmuth counts?), and we probably won't be able to take an actual vacation till mid-next-year at the earliest, due to money/needing to accrue vacation time. We'll see what happens! All of this is banking on them touring in the fall/winter, anyway, instead of next spring. Who knows, maybe they'll plan a date in Florida that aligns with the trip we (hopefully) will be taking for our second anniversary!

DanPak Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 I'm hoping they actually do a UK tour this time, and not Billie Joe drunkenly promising one only back out after he left rehab. I saw them in 2013 either way, when I was on holiday, but it'd be nice to see them in Scotland
Libertine Angel Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Yeah, I hope they do more than a couple of UK stadium shows too, a proper tour of the country would be good.
