I'm so goddamn excited for the upcoming tour, especially now that i have my own car and that i am 18! It makes it all so much easier. I'm afraid how it will work out with my job then. I just hope that we get many Germany shows (6-8 shows per leg and two european legs in total), so then it will be easier for me to chose appropriate dates to go! Austria, maybe Switzerland and Italy might also work out, all depending on the date!!

I am so ready to do 5 shows or more! I don't really care how expensive that will be, I'll give up on everything else if i have to :P no vacation, no buying new makeup, no going shopping, no going out in restaurants. I don't care as long as I can for once properly follow them on tour for a bit

Travelling to Germany is usually pretty cheap, so I hope so too.

At the Emirates we eventually moved to the unreserved seating - downside of being with mother.  We could see the show fine, but the T shirt gun and TP gun don't reach far enough, and you're never gonna get up on stage.  I'd say it was more like watching the show rather than being a part of it - that's how I normally feel when seated.  Don't get me wrong, it was still awesome, but I just feel it would've been even better in a decent standing spot.

I saw Dylan at the Albert hall last year.  We were in a box and had food service, sitting there eating dinner as he performed :P

Yeah, I was at the first row of seats at the Emirates and had a pretty good view, same at Wembley Stadium in 2010. I was right at the back for the O2 and Wembley Arena in '09, couldn't see all that much but the big screens helped.

I saw Dylan at the Albert Hall last year too, which night did you go on??

I expect this will be its own thread once they announce tour dates, but is anyone planning on doing the whole tour?

I so wish I had the time and the money to do that. Staying in a hotel every night, either renting a car to drive between stops or flying, would be the way I'd have to do it comfortably.

Couldn't afford the entire thing but I think I've done 8-10 shows in a row.

As long as it's not February as I'll be 9 mths pregnant, I'll do a few, likely Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle etc but prob not London and south, I'll have a baby to look after lol

I wouldnt recommend a rock concert at 9 months pregnant - you might deliver.  I went to an action movie at 8 months pregnant - my baby went absolutely crazy inside due to the noise.

As long as KFAD isnt on the setlist I will do as many as I can in Australia - might even sneak over the ditch to NZ.

Yeah that's why I'm hoping its march onwards, I haven't missed a UK tour since 95 lol. If it is Feb I won't go but will go down and see friends in the queue at local show.

I have to agree with my friend from down under.  As much as you want to go, it isn't worth it.  Alsi, congrats

Pretty sure you won't have long to wait until you find out the dates.

Hence why I said, as long as it's not February...

If they did a concert in the Colston Hall or Ashton Gate, that would be awesome since I would really hate having to go all the way to Cardiff unless it's absolutely necessary and I wouldn't want extra expense. I'm sure I wouldn't be alone in a place that can hold 20,000+.

It's appreciated, I just re read that and realised it sounded snarky, that wasn't meant to be snarky, just pointing out I had said I wouldn't go already unless it was after I gave birth. Tone didn't come off right.

Leonard Cohen still tours at 84 and he didn't even become a musician until he was 36. Ha!

Pretty sure he needed the money though:)

I love Green Day shows as much as anyone or more but I don't do multiple shows anymore because they are all the same for the most part from show to show.

Unlike some bands like Pearl Jam, Phish, etc, most bands play from a setlist throughout the tour that changes a tiny drop and has a couple audibles but other than that, i can't see more than 2-3 shows TOPS or it's like watching a really good movie over and over.

I suppose knowing there is a finite number of shows left to do in the world, could make one want to go to every single one though.

As Billie gets closer to 50, I am starting to get that feeling more.

Hopefully they/he will be like McCartney and tour well into his 70s.  Shit, Leonard Cohen still tours at 84 and he didn't even become a musician until he was 36. Ha!

That's pretty much exactly how I feel. They'll change a song in the setlist here and there but for the most part, it's the same show. I feel after 2 or 3 shows in a row I would honestly get bored because I would know what to expect. :P

Honestly the thing I'm most looking forward to about Green Day going back on tour is seeing some of the GDC folk again.

That's definitely how I felt last tour - 3 was enough.

I gotta say though I only went to 1 concert in OZ on the 21CB tour & knowing GD were still in the country did my head in.

It's so weird. I've been here since what? I guess 2009 according to my avy, but I think it was even longer because didn't it reset when they opened the new forum?

Lindsay! You're fucking 23? Amazing.  I remember when I was afraid to even speak to you because I don't think you were even 15 or 16 when I was first on this fucking awesome forum.

Hah yeah, I made my original account on here back when I was 12! Here I am 11 years later. Definitely remember you, nice to see you back!

Let's try to keep the photos relevant to the topic/thread though. :P
