What songs do you really want to hear on the upcoming tour?

I dunno, we're really the minority of the audience being "die hard" fans. Our choices probably wouldn't be very representative of the audience as a whole who'd be more likely on average to want to see the hits. They've stuck to a formula of keeping lots of well known staples and only a few new songs or rare songs on the setlist pretty much forever and it's worked. I get the impression from when they're asked about playing rare songs etc that what they like to see above all is everyone knowing the songs and being into it, giving big fans the songs they want to see or even playing songs they might fancy playing more themselves seems to come second to that most of the time.

If they're wondering which rarer songs to pull out they could get some good tips here though! And anyway like almost every thread here there might not be much practical use for it but it's still fun to discuss.

I agree with you to some extent here - but take my favourite live song KFAD:ga: its not the fact that the die hard fans are sick of it - its that even though GD themselves have said they have fun playing it - in my opinion it looks the exact opposite - stale, old & boring.  To me they are just going through the motions like brushing there teeth.

Well, depends.... if it sucks like the GDCers who said the trilogy sucked, than it will still kick ass because I enjoyed Uno Dos Tre. I doubt it will suck. I dont set the bar so high, it doesnt have to be another American Idiot or Dookie. :)

The trilogy songs were kick ass in the setlist.  I liked the trilogy but they are better live.

I need to add Hold On to my list:)

Which trilogy songs will they keep?

I would guess Stay the Night for sure and Let Yourself Go then maybe either Stray Heart or Brutal Love

I don't see them playing Oh Love anymore

Why?  It is a great song and as I've said before, had a ton of air time before iHeart.  Why do you think they would leave it out?

Christie Road (as long as Mike doesn't slap me with his bass), Church on Sunday, Going to Pasalacqua, Only of You, Haushinka and The Grouch.

I'd love for them to do an Offspring-esque tour where they play an old album in full occasionally. I know they did Dookie but Kerplunk and Insomniac would be amazing to hear live.

I'd like them to play something from Kerplunk or 1039SOSH, but I doubt it'll happen. They hardly ever play songs from those albums and It's a pity!! I think they're too underrated. Plus I hope they won't stop playing classic songs like 21 Guns, American Idiot, Jesus Of Suburbia, Basket Case, Longview.... (Even though I heard them millions of times i never get tired of them). I'd also like to hear Whatsername and Give Me Novacaine. I wonder why they never play these two songs live!! Anyway I don't really care about what they'll play as long as they come back on stage!! :)

They have played Give me novacaine several times. Whatsername would be cool though.

Really?? I've only seen them play it in a few videos :)

I hope they don't neglect the Trilogy which seems to be the consensus on this thread! I watched a few videos of the last tour, and those sounded so much better live. X Kid, Lazy Bones, Oh Love., Brutal Love...

They mainly played it on the 21st centry breakdown tour if I remember correctly. :)

Because they'd rather drop all songs from other albums than play less than 7 songs each from Dookie and AI :P

I also think Minority will be kept on the regular setlist - it's only's like 2 minutes but live it turns into 8-10 minutes and the crowd never get bored :).

But you can't be picky, either Minority or KFAD

No I have made my choice Panic Song & Hold On.  If I could choose between erasing KFAD from the setlist or erasing the Oh Love video from existence I would pick KFAD:happy:

But I gave you a logical argument why the Oh Love video is not that bad.  So, your choice is understandable.  Well, Panic Song is not one of my favorites and since I am Billies favorite fan I control these things.  You do have a shot at Hold On, but only if you are nice to me.

It really wasn't a very successful single and it's also over 5 minutes long

That is where I disagree.  I've said this before but before iHeart, it was constantly on the radio, almost to the point of being overplayed.  When iHeart happened, the airplay stopped.  It was on the verge of being very successful.  I also don't think length matters in concert.  Personally I would love to see them do it.  I think it's a great song

East Jesus Nowhere, one of my favorite songs live but it'll probably just be a dream and they'll never play it again. :(

I do hope for another massive stadium song on new album.
