Definitely not much technically complex but it is a good track (unpopular opinion?). & as someone said above many great songs are easy to play like Smoke on the water, Iron Man, Highway to Hell, Sweet Child O' Mine, Creeping Death etc. That person also said that Know Your Enemy is not one of the good simple ones, which I agree with. Green Day is not know for good solos, they never have been and probably never will be. It is not Billie's style of writing. I also wouldn't consider it a solo, I would consider it a bridge. It is definitely an unpopular opinion, that you are entitled too.

It is not Billie's style of writing. This. Bands known for their solos tend to have a lead guitarist who isn't the lead singer. Green Day's music tends to be more focused on lyrics, hence why people tend to say 'omg I love when Billie sings X' rather than 'omg have you heard the riff in Y'. That's not saying their music isn't musical, it just doesn't seem to be their main focus. It just wouldn't be Green Day if they did it any other way. Know your enemy isn't particularly musically or lyrically excellent. It is great fun live though, and that may well be why they wrote it. I guess I'd also like to ask them if they're still writing good meaningful lyrics, and what's inspiring them for this album.

Private Ale. Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I'd ask if they care for what we have to say at all. All this "trilogy sucks" stuff, they must have heard it ,i'd ask them if they care and if fans' opinions effect making of new album in any way.
