BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 The funniest part about looking at these pictures is realizing he's always looked like Chaplin and we were just oblivious.
jengd Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Did anyone ever find a way to see this in the UK?

Thanks so much for this, I haven't seen the show before so it's a little bit of a strange concept, but I thought Billie was great, his face when DW Griffith starts talking about the KKK is priceless. I loved that his tattoos were covered, all bar the star on his right wrist which was peeking out. Didn't think it was very funny though.
Hermione Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Great find! Since I think moving your post here got rid of the tag I'll just tag @Jane Lannister again so she doesn't miss it. I saw it before but omg it's still the weirdest TV show ever
pacejunkie punk Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 You have to admit he is a dead ringer.
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 @jengd @Hermione thank you both, you made my day!!!
UNICORN VOMIT Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 I thought that was BJ's finest acting moment.
jengd Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 All thanks should be going to #I-Like-Pop-Tarts, it's their original link but it's great isn't it, I love it, Billie is awesome/cute/spot on!
LaughingClock Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 ***edit: looks like it's in the can. In case anyone hasn't already mentioned it, Will Farrell is an Executive Producer on this show and they (he and Billie) have remained pretty good friends ever since the infamous cowbell week when Green Day was on the show. EP on TV is different than film. On TV it usually means the person or group paying the money while on TV, they are the bosses. My wife works with WF all the time and I have a good friend who is the "Exucutive in charge of Production" on this show. Put those together and I'll definitely be at the shooting assuming it hasn't happened yet. Thanks for the heads up guys. *** although I've since found out was too late. Upset I didn't know they shot this. *** again, after posting this, found out its in the can and aired.

Good shit. I'm amazed at the stuff that slips by me. Thank God for GDC.
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 @jengd I just watched this again and realized I didn't say anything before - I think this show is awesome. The whole episode was really funny and I loved Billie's part. He's an excellent Chaplin.

He really is though, so good a match I can't believe we never noticed it before and I had never thought of Chaplin as being such an attractive human before. I find the programme a bit weird, this is still the only episode I have watched but I thought it was pretty entertaining. It's a little weird too to hear the actors voice when Billie is on screen but it's really well done and his actions match perfectly. I love the look when DW Griffiths starts talking about the KKK, it's priceless. He conveys so much with his eyes. Glad you liked it.

I never thought of it either but the resemblance is striking! He nailed his part - and really, his facial expressions were on point. The programme is a bit weird but I found it amusing, even the narrators' voices.
jengd Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 Good god woman, I nearly had a heart attack when I got the notification that Billie Joe Armstrong had reacted to my post, are you trying to kill us all! Jane Lannister that’s you isn’t it?
