Never heard of this so thanks for sharing. Can see him loving this and having lots of fun. I never knew Chalin was so good looking. Anyone care to bet on what BJ might get up to next that isn't Green Day related, he's totally unpredictable, I love it. Oh, and black hair again - sorry, someone had to say it ? Meet me at Confessions of a Fangirl thread for discussion about the hair...
XxXxXxXxX Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Holy shit, Billie Joe is litterally the perfect candidate to play Charlie Chaplin. Not only is the appearance on point, his natural demeanor just fits the part perfectly. im wierdly really excited for this
Brooklyn Baby Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 I'd definitely lost interest in the members of the band doing non-GD related things but I think I'll keep an eye out for this!!
unextraordinarygirl Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Billie looks just like Chaplin, it's uncanny. I've never heard of the show but I will try to remember to watch it when it comes on.
Second favourite son Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Does anyone know if/when the show will air in the UK? I'm pretty sure there's a UK version but I've never seen anything about a US version being aired here.
Mar Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 MY Buster Bluth? With MY Billie Joe? My fandoms colliding? Cool cool cool! I was already excited about the show returning this summer and now I'm even more so!
BCap Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 I rarely watch the show - I'll tape an episode that has something that rarely intrigues me/an actor that I particularly like (the one with Will Ferrell as Roald Dahl, because I like Will Ferrell and Roald Dahl). I've participated in actual "drunk history" sessions (inspired by the show) in my History Undergraduate Association (not during official meetings, obviously), which were far more entertaining than the show.
Ryan Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 I'm guessing that this will also correspond with the timing of the new album. Sounds like some intentional promotion in an atypical sense.
Forever Now Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Sounds interesting! I haven't seen the show but this looks like it's going to be fun.

Private Ale. Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Anyone remember a 1991 video which Billie draws a moustache to himself and pretends to be Charlie Chaplin for few seconds. Anyway, this is very exciting.

I didn't say it was their only promotion...but October makes perfect sense seeing as Billie said they were hoping for a fall release. October is like the primary autumn month. I'm guessing that there will be much earlier, more targeted promotion before that and that Drunk History will just be a nice little boost. Also, Green Day seems to like September/October releases.
Chin for a Day Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 I have never seen that video. It is amazing what entertains 19 year old boys. At least he didn't use a sharpie.
ghesboro Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 I'm already laughing, this is gonna be great. And Billie really does kinda look like Charlie Chaplin even without the costume and make up, I don't know how I had never noticed it before.

He's the same age as my older son in that video, and yeah, that is really what would entertain him, too. or dumber stuff than that, even. Dumb question here, but is Comedy Central a cable TV channel, or is it internet, or what? And what day/what time is it on? I don't want to miss this when it comes on in the Fall, it's going to be so freaking adorable!!!!
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 ^and this is exactly why high school girls date older boys

I would check with your cable provider to see if they carry it. The new season starts in October. I don't know what time it is on
