Aww sadly just grossness. Would've enjoyed seeing them cooking something rather than butchering something, but oh well.

It wasn't exactly veggie friendly, was it?  Morimoto's been a guest star on Hawaii Five-0 a few times, so I quite like him as a chef personality, but it looks like Mike and Tre didn't do a huge amount of cooking really, which is disappointing cos that could have been interesting and thoroughly amusing.

My first thought after I saw a picture on the first page was "Why the hell is there a drum kit" followed by "oh, they're pots and pans..."

Seems to have been quite interesting. As someone mentioned above, I wish they had been a bit more involved.

Waiting for an official recount of the event :)

@chefmorimoto breaking down a 60 kilo tuna with @GreenDay . Incredible color, and it was delicious.

Checking out Mike and Tré from @GreenDay making sushi rolls with @chef_morimoto #bottlerock

BottleRock Napa Day Two: Five great moment

1.Green Day Fish Filet

In one of those "only at BottleRock" moments, two Green Day members -- Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt -- joined Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto onstage for one of the festival's popular cooking demonstrations. Cool and Dirnt were in good spirits, telling jokes and goofing around, as Morimoto and his assistant carved up a 60-kilo tuna in front of a large crowd. It was punk rock sushi, served up BottleRock style.

Yeah I mean I know people eat fish, but it just isn't an entertaining thing to see.

On the plus side Tre's hair looks good.

I am assuming it was a class on how to cut up a tuna.  It is really big to go on deep sea fishing trips and catch huge fish.  I'm just glad they didn't fish slap anyone, they would have been knocked out

I've just noticed that Tre is playing the drums with wooden spoons!

Well, he was playing a pots and pans drum kit, so wooden spoons make total sense. :)
