My only hope for the real artwork is that it isn't boring. They have an excellent track record of interesting and varied covers though so seems unlikely it would be.

I've made at least 3 album covers for GREEN DAY 12.  I'll share them on here, but it takes forever.   I wish I could post it without it being on another site already.  It's really stupid that we can't use pictures from our computer.

I kind of like the one of the blurry Billie Joe/ roman numerals for 12...it has good energy, and I like naming the album "12" !

Also I like the idea of the self titled album cover.

Honestly, I really don't care because at this point I just want the damn album.  However, I would love something simple, but iconic, like just solid green, like The White Album or Back in Black

That would be cool too but I think they should do a classy photoshoot and put themselves on the cover, since they've only done that once.

I remember when they revealed the American Idiot album cover, my first thoughts were "...that's it? I waited 4 years for this?"
But it became so damn iconic, it was the perfect cover art for that album.

So whatever the cover art will be for their next album, I don't have to like it as long as it fits perfectly with the album's theme.
