A family friend of mine has been best friends with Jason Freese since childhood. I bought two tickets to my first ever Green Day show at the Forum in Los Angeles for August 25, 2009, and he was happy to go with me and use the extra ticket. After the show ended, he texted Jason and was able to get me a backstage pass. It was some small after party in a private bar of the Forum. I met Billie, Mike, Tre, and Jason Freese. Only got a picture with Billie. Mike and Tre were both very chill. Billie was cool, but I may have annoyed him (seeing as they just finished a three hour set and wanted to relax). Whatever, I was a naive fifteen year old who just saw his favorite band live for the first time and then got to meet them. A year later at Irvine Meadows, I went up on stage during 2,000 Light Years Away, along with like 30 other people. Here's me and Billie at the Forum in 2009 (terrible picture from a flip phone, haha):
