How did you happen to hear I Was There as a first song? It's pretty rare.

I somehow ended up at a gig in Wigan, many moons ago. The first song they played was I Was There. I hadn't heard of the band before that.

BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Lately I could relate to Lazy Bones a lot. Some people just can't shut up and I'm tired with their stuff.

It was a cool show.
The Great Saiyaman Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Jinx. Recently in my life a person who I'd been friends for a long time with really fucked me over on something that was his fault that he claimed was mine. Prompty decided to leave that "friendship". I mean, that's somewhat how I interpret the song. Fuck that guy.
Jaded Nimrod Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Lazy Bones, always. Babs Uvula Who, forever. However, I was driving in my car the other day while on the phone with my husband. It's been a real rough time for my little family. Finances in shambles, screwed at every turn, a plethora of rejection letters to all sent resumes. I had a mini-breakdown and told my husband that I had to go because I totally needed to listen to 21st Century Breakdown (song and album) at really loud volume. So there's that too.
