ZSebs Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 If any song performance lasts more than 7 minutes (excluding longer songs like DRB, JOS, Homecoming) it should be cut down. I love when the boys are doing their thing, but when Billie yells HEY OH for 2 minutes everytime during Letterbomb, it just gets boring. That's me though
Steven Seagull Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 JOS is the most boring Green Day song. I have no idea why people like it. Usually I skiped it after three minutes.

Chin for a Day Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 JOS has Dearly Beloved in it. How can it be bad?

The whole song is JOS therefore, it cannot be a piece part of itself. You can only reference a piece part of something as having been "in" something. And since Dearly Beloved is, in my opinion, the most superior part of JOS, I reference it here. I hope you have enjoyed your lesson. Come back tomorrow and we can discuss Stephen Hawking's theory of time travel.
UNICORN VOMIT Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Even if you think JOS is boring you gotta give Bj credit - you have to be dam talented to create a song like it & an album like AI. I don't know why but I get the same feeling when I hear waiting.

I think he's talking about the opening 1st part which is itself titled "JOS" and yes it is a great start and encourages the listner to get more into the song.
DookieLukie Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 The new setlist should just be the first part of JOS and just when you think it will transition they just start the first part again. This goes on for 3 hrs.

By the third of fourth time I was just moved toward the back of the room (it was at a club in NYC) and got some water. It was like intermission. I love the song, but, 9 times of anything live is repetitive.
Steven Seagull Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Time traveling is overrated. I traveled to the future and saw Green Day opening for Justin Bieber who who was the biggest metal star. They played cover of Baby.

If I was able to see Foxboro Hot Tubs when they were still a drunken shitshow, they could play the ABCs for an hour straight and I'd probably be OK with it.
