Mary Daze Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Has anybody taken a look at the website's code? some people do that and in the past they've actually found out about things which we hadn't heard of.

StillIDIOT Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Analyzing the website's source code, it's still pretty much the same. This is the description: "Official site with band information, audio and video clips, photos, downloads and tour dates. ¡UNO!, ¡DOS!, ¡TRE!" This is the list of keywords: "Billie joe armstrong, Mike dirnt, Tre cool, 1039 smoothed out slappy hours, Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, American idiot, 21st century breakdown, UNO, Dos, Tre, Oh Love, Troublemaker, Stay The Night, Nuclear Family, 99 Revolutions, Kill The DJ". So, yeah, it seems like they have only messed around with CSS...

I thought so too but on facebook some people already talked about how they "had to" check the code because of it. but okay, I don't really expect to find anything either. I'm so excited about the next press release. I hope we'll get one within the next two weeks. 1 minute ago, Tonif4 said: Analyzing the website's source code, it's still pretty much the same. petros Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 They know everyone is checking that kind of stuff now so they wouldn't change any of this info.

On the other hand Jason also totally knew that we'd get our greedy hands on that interview and hear what he wasn't supposed to say.

People that create a website get much more easily fired than Jason so they surely are more careful than him.
Sanity Loan Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 As someone who does this for a living: When a new website is ready to be made for marketing the next album, it will be developed on a test server and/or domain out of the public eye. The current site will stay what it is. When it is ready, they will update the current site's Drupal theme with the new stuff, retaining existing posts.

Sanity Loan Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I really hope Rolling Stone got to go into the studio for a day or two during the recording, like they did with 21CB. And then boom... out of nowhere we get an article talking about demos, environment, the band, etc. With 21CB, I think that got published 4-5 months before the album's release date.

They did one on the trilogy as well
JardyOfSuburbia Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Fingers crossed for an announcement of some kind tomorrow on St. Patrick's Day!

PursuitOfEpicness Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Would most of you rather it be political? I kind of do, I feel like they write so passionately about that stuff. Plus you know certain idiots in the running right now.
Ritz Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I listened to American Idiot today after quite some time, and to be honest, even today it instills such an energy and a strong feeling in me against everything going on in the world right now. I would certainly want it renewed by new songs, melodies and lyrics. I really really hope we have a political albums at our hands because that's what we need right now.
It's Splash Time Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I don't think green day can just sit and watch all of this without commenting. I think there will definitely be something political in the new album, and it will be released before the election.

I don't think anyone has taken the elections into consideration for the album release/tour. Though they're in November, all of our guesses were before then anyway. But maybe it's a good indicator as to when/where they will tour? I'd say they would want to be in the US around those dates. For American Idiot they started their US tour a couple of weeks before the elections (in November as well). Perhaps this makes the September release more likely.
petros Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Political or not I don't really care. I want a good album. If they go and say "we HAVE to make a political album" it will suck. Just let it come out naturally whatever it is. They are good musicians with a lot to prove after their last "failure" (like it or not for a band like green day everything trilogy related turned out to be a failure) so I haven't lost my hope on them.
It's Splash Time Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I don't think it's a have to write about politics, I think it's more that politics (not just the election but gun crime, racism etc.) are very likely to inspire someone like Billie to write. He's had a lot over the past few years to inspire him, and we know how well that sort of writing has gone in the past. I doubt it will be entirely political, but there will be something in there, and it will likely become a single. That's my guess.
GenXIdiot Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 As long as the lyrics are from Billie's heart it's going to be a great album, no matter what he writes about.
Private Ale. Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 i don't want politics...i love personal stuff. but i'll respect whatever comes cause i just love this band . Even when they did Nightlife,a song i hate , i moved on just because they are Green Day and i'm biased, i'll at least respect whatever comes. fangirling for life
