Yeah they should've adjusted it for the trilogy

but, as they are recording at OTIS, so i guess they're using some new ones, cause Cole's vocals are great on Drive North

Studio doesn't really matter too much, except for maybe the vocal booth.

I have no idea about this guy. Found it randomly from Green Day references thread. He claims that Green Day have been in studio since days and this photo was posted on the same day when Billie posted his photo on mic in the studio and location in the post is Jingle Town recording studio. I may be wrong if he is talking about any other project or some other band.

Another one from Green Day themselves where they have location as Jingle Town recording studio (they tell location only when required like during HOF they have a photo with location as Cleveland Convention and one photo from Dookie benefit show where location is Fox Theater) so that must means they been recording since then (it's from early Oct. last year)  this photo is nowhere related to recording but telling the location as Jingle Town studio is surely a hint.

April/May release seems to be much possible now.

I personally don't think an April/May release is very possible for as long as nothing has been announced officially.

Well yes, you Can get any sort of sound anywhere, That all depends on the Software you're using.

That first Instagram is interesting, even if the wording is a little funky. The second one likely means nothing, certainly not an album in April/May. I just don't see it.

EVen if they were using the same equipment, it doesn't mean that one persons vocals will be good because anothers is.  But, even if that was true, that it would scare the shit out of me becuase I thought coles vocals were awful.  I thought that whole album would have been so much better if he just didn't sing.

Still if the vocal booth has bad acoustics it's not the most efficient way to record vocals when you got way more work to make it sound properly after recording.

That first instagram was posted months ago.  It had to do with another artist that was recording at Jingletown, no GD

So, Time for them to buy some new ones! or just reduce compression rate and use a low pass filter.

Yes, it's too much compression. It 'sterilizes' the tone of Billie's voice. I hope they ease up on the compression for the new album, and we'll get a more natural sound. The filters and reverb are fine, I don't think they are the problem, they are always used for pro recordings, or else the album would sound like a home amateur job.

Actually it was posted on the same day when Billie posted his first photo from the studio and this thread started.

Ah, you're right. I knew it was an old post, but I misinterpreted the rest.

no, i mean that, The Compression rate was not that much, as compared to Triology. and Cole's Vocals had that power feel, which was missing in Billie's Vocals on Triology

No, i mean that, they used Low Pass Filter as well, so that Billie's Vocals would Brighten up. Well That All depends Majorly on Chris Dugan.

OK, I get it.  Yes, the compression was not as much, I agree with that.

I'm thinking this is how it'll go down:

1) Album announcement + single release + tour dates all at once in late August as a "surprise"

2) Album out two weeks later

3) Tour begins

Maybe At Vma's?

That would certainly be a good avenue for it. Though, it depends on if they want to cater to that type of audience.

I think almost the same except for the single, I think they'll announce it at least a week before bringing it out.

That would be January 18, almost 2 months ago.  That is months ago in my book.  IT appears that it was an EP for an indie band called Van Lady Love.  They announced their new EP last week.

It'll be awesome, That Pop Loving Audience will have To listen To Some Dark, Heavy Punk Music. That'll be like a Devil in Disguise for them

Yes, true, I forgot about Low Pass. I agree his vocals were too bright and unnatural sounding. The lower partials of his vocal tone was gone. The trilogy songs sound much nicer on live footage, because Billie's full tone comes through when he's singing live.

I'd be very pleased with that.

What if nothing is happening? It's all our collected connections and speculation and GD management emailed Andres to tell us to stop spreading rumors.

I thought of that and it wouldn't surprise me. It's unlikely because we can tell social network marketing when we see it + the Ausie insider info but as long as it's not confirmed they still can easily call it quits withought an explanation because they didn't promise anything. That's why I'm taking all this with a grain of salt until they confirm.
