Good times... Haha "THAT photo", no kidding!

I wouldn't consider it a sign that the spring rumor is true, though. I doubt the band was seriously working on the new songs as far back.
stefand11 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Oh god I hope Jason Freese isn't taking the piss in that interview....
Michael Highway Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 In case anyone hasn't heard this yet...just found it myself...Jason mentions Green Day's new album. and various other stuff too.
dookedoutnimrod Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I just got an idea, i mean we know a new album is coming now. But maybe some Foxboro stuff will be released too? I mean that tape,casette-thingy on the mixing board. The Rickenbacker bass, mike almost always uses a p-bass in the studio. The revrad thing. the hanging out at otis singing into mics not even in a vocal booth, that's not gonna result in green day record quality, but certainly get's the job done for foxboro. what do you think ?
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I wouldn't rule it out but this looks more like a Green Day hype.
localinsomniac Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Yeah, the Foxboro stuff was all under the radar until half the album mysteriously popped up on MySpace. I don't know that they would tease a non-Green Day record like this.
That Dude Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Okay, it's MARCH!!!! We need more than what we are getting. I'm not asking for much. Just a leak of the full album by tomorrow and for Green Day to open for THE WHO in Kentucky on the 12th. Oh and for bands like Green Day to break into the mainstream again. That is all I demand.

You want them to open for someone, even someone like The Who???? https://media.giphy.com/media/GhbwCoeQLXWx2/giphy.gif
Arthur_Rhuan Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Green Day will make an opera rock that the character hears forxboro hot tubs in the radio. then, they will launch a new ep for foxboro with the songs that we hear in the green day album.

It's not like they would put a big TV screen up telling Billie Joe he only has ONE MINUTE left or anything like that. (LOL!!) He's been around since 1980-freaking-8 for crying out loud. A dual-headlining show. Green Day pops in, plays a wild impromtu setlist with a Who-cover or two, some new songs and kills it. Billie kind of starts to smash his guitar but stops before doing it. He says "I'll leave that for the guy that made smashing guitars fashionable." The Who come out. Guitar gets smashed. And I'm in seat 309. That's the most important part. Me.

The Who is actually my second favorite band, but GD shouldn't be opening for anyone.

I'm driving over 400 miles to see them. I figure this might very well be my last chance to see them in concert. Pete is 70 and Roger is 72, and we're losing an unusual amount of musicians this year. I hope they have another 50 years as a band, but hey.

Maybe a tour with green day would help my cause. I think The Who are still a very good live band. Don't know why people I know that like them won't go, especially since they've also never been to one of their concerts.

However, he is still a great performer, if you go into realizing that the songs just won't sound like they used too, it should be a good show.
