Yeah sure. On the other hand it'd be pretty dumb to announce a huge open air tour just 2 weeks in advance

Eh they once announced a show in a pub in Sydney with an hour's notice and still filled it up, so I dare say they could do it :P

Of course they can! :) But I was talking about the normal case of a whole tour and what their management thinks is best.

An April/May release sounds too good to be true but it's fun to hope...!!!

April/May was way earlier than expected...I thought maybe around Septemberish, but this is awesome if it's true!! Hopefully I can pre-order it really soon too.

I guess now that we "know" the album is coming out soon, we need to now speculate on whether it will be a rock opera or not. (Unless that has already happened and I just missed it)

My guess is no, I think it's going to be a really tight kick ass album with heart felt lyrics: "The Rehab Album" in some shape or form...but it's still too soon...

My thoughts exactly. Though for 21CB they announced the album release at the Grammy Awards. Not sure when that event takes place.. February?

Not that they would do that exact same way of announcing, but considering it is February, there's still a possibility they might announce it within now and a month.
But I highly doubt it.

Yeah, true. By February I already knew that the album would come out in May in 2009.

Who is in LA and for what?

A friend of mine:)

Yeah, that's the only thing I can think of but @BillyjoelxkidXx's comment about LA seems out of nowhere and with no context.

My friend does management/security for bands - that's why I said he was in the business - he just happens to be in la atm.  Thats all - where the fuck did the grammys come from.

No offence but can you really expect people to just take your word for it with no word who your friend is or anything? I'm not saying you're lying, and I doubt you are, but people come on here all the time and give bullshit stories of how they met someone in the know and got told when a new album is coming out. People are going to be spectacle of something like that.

Liam no offence but I remember offering you my soundwave ticket for Perth because I had a backstage pass - so anyways - two people are saying it - believe it or not.

Liam wasn't saying that you're lying

Which I turned down because my friend died, sorry about that. I wasn't trying to have a go at you, I even said I doubt that you're lying. I just don't see why so offended that not everyone wants to believe a random on the internet.

Two randoms on the internet from the same country.

I think we should really be turning our struggle and hyped up emotions on Billie and Green day

I'm going to say it again.  This is not a random.  My girl would not say something if she didn't believe it herself.  Personally, I just put money aside for concert tickets

No one gets points for being right first. You can say you're 100% sure of something and still be wrong. I've done it in the past when I've heard about something directly from the band's management and it didn't pan out. I've been doing this 12 years, and every time there's something new coming we always hear from people who say they know something because they know x,y,z. So I think everyone is absolutely right to be skeptical of any information until it's official. That's not a judgement on you or the people you know, it's just good practice since every time rumors start coming out there are always people who claim to know something. Some people are right, some people are wrong, some people just made shit up. Don't get defensive or bitchy because someone shows skepticism. We all appreciate the rumors, but unless you're Billie Joe, Mike, or Tre, it's all still just a rumor. That's true even when I share something. Third and fourth hand information is nice, but it's not always worth betting the house on.

Idk why anyone has to get so defensive about this. Even if these are just rumors, they're fun rumors. It's not like someone's coming in here spreading gossip about negative stuff. No harm in letting people engage in the fun of speculation and no need to get all bitchy about it. Of course there's a high chance stuff that's being said in this thread is inaccurate in some way, but I'm pretty sure everyone who's reading this thread is well aware of that fact.

I was just thinking of that...how much do their concerts run in the U.S.?  I've seen Paul McCartney (very expensive) so nothing will shock me. Just want to start making the emergency concert fund for when they go on sale!!!

In the current music climate a surprise/sudden release is very possible and could be a great thing for the band. So I'm not writing off April or May. Anyways, I'm enjoying the hype period, it's a fun ride regardless of when music actually comes out.

jesus, you people are acting like you've been given life or death information that's validity will determine the course of the rest of your existence. sit back, take a deep breath and remember that it's just a fun rumour for some band that purely exists for your entertainment, not your identity.

take a chill pill :P
