I mean this happened all the time before but since they all have instagram accounts i think we should have known something if they were so far into recording.

The only way we knew about 21CB before the in-studio Rolling Stone article was those two or three short videos that Butch Vig posted while in the studio. I'm thinking that all the trilogy stuff (Twitter announcement of recording, series of YouTube videos, etc) was planned promotion. Speaking of trilogy promotion, it was 4 years ago today that Billie announced they started recording.

Their manager even explained the marketing strategy in an interview. It didn't come off so well so it makes sense if they do something else instead.

Talking about vocals, from the very beginning we have been getting clean singing, this time if they used more diverse range like singing, hardcore shouting, growling or even grunge that'd be great! I sorta liked the Trilogy, but I just didn't get that excited for it. This new one? I am feeling the hype escalate and all there is about it are Instagram posts. Nice.
