Dude MCR has opened for Green Day before and I don't think it's that much of a stretch to say there is a possibility of them touring together this next tour.

It's possible but if it's a black parade anniversary tour, I'm 99% sure they aren't going to open for anyone. I doubt they are coming out with an album because it seems like Gerard didn't want that commitment anymore. If it's a new album that they go on tour for, I think it's more realistic they could open for green day

An MCR comeback tour would be too big to be an opening act, or even a co-headline. It's something they'd need to do as sole headliners. Whether the timeline works out that the 2 bands can do their separate tours then join for a co-headline second leg is far too early to call. By 23rd September we'd be expecting Green Day to be further along in the process anyway. Plus, MCR haven't said anything other than a date, so it's hard to tell what it means. But that's a discussion for another thread.

But that's a discussion for another thread. MCR was never even remotely as big as GD was. I seriously doubt that GD would consider co-headliners with them. However, MCR as an opening act would probably benefit both bands. They have both been out of pocket for awhile, so having them on the same ticket could bring more fans into the arena.

It would be cool... but I can already feel the scrapes from all that aditional edge in the crowd. I enjoy Green Days fan base. Concerts would have to be massive if you added both of them into the picture. It would be an interesting mix.

There is simply too much hype around both of them for one to open for the other, and possibly even co-headline. I think there's a better chance for them to tour with a different band-again, if they are going to-that is also large in the scene and has something to promote, amongst other cryptic tweets (but more on that in the MCR thread). As for Green Day related stuff... ones excitement was off the other day. A band covered "Welcome to Paradise" at the APMAs and between Billie's instagram post and other factors, I toyed with the idea that he would suddenly come out (despite the lack of possibility in that thought. Additional note: if anyone hints at anything, especially if there's a chance they actually know something-don't give them shit. It's not as if one is completely in the dark, without a hunch of the timeline.
