SomeNimrod97 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 At least when Biffy said they were recording, they actually did a live performance and gave us a new song rather than just saying something with no true indication of direction. If I had a small idea of what it's going to sound like from just hearing a single full live track, then I'd be happier with the wait. That's why people stayed on topic when they were talking about the trilogy since there was something to use for reference, unlike now where nobody (except Matt, maybe) has any idea of the sound or style of the music.

They are just trying to keep things clean and ordered. Without them this place would be burning in hell with all our none sense flying around. And I doubt our posts generate any money, unless you click on some of those adds maybe. But that probably goes to a third party.

I understand they gave their fans more info about the albums that were going to be released in the past (like they did for the Trilogy) and that many people are pissed because of the lack of information right now. But i think there's a reason if they decided not to tell anything and just drop small hints this time. We shouldn't judge them for this.... Let's just enjoy the excitement, the speculation and the small bits of info in their posts. And there's no need to guess random dates just because we feel or we dreamed something will happen on that day. No one knows (well, maybe only Matt), so let's just stop. It's useless and it's "polluting" this thread. Remember the album will come anyway

It's making me think that 12 is going to be really fantastic, just a huge comeback for them. They know they're sitting on something big and they want to market the shit out of it so maximum people hear it. Keeping optimistic!

I really believe this is what he wants for this album; no matter the title, the kind of songs or when it will be released. He just wants to drop it when he's ready. Our speculations will not change that.

A fair while ago @Hermione (repeatedly ) made the point that if you have nothing to say, you don't have to post. While this still stands, the opposite is also true - if you know there's been no big development, which should warrant its own thread, and you hate reading speculation, you aren't obliged to come in here and read through the speculation, and you shouldn't really complain when you do see speculation - constant complaining is about as bad as bullshit when it comes to ruining the flow of the conversation. When I found speculation tiresome, I didn't come in and read this thread for a few days. Now I'm more interested in it, I've started following this thread again. Yeah I don't mind a bit of reasonable speculation about each thing we hear/possible hint we get. But I don't consider "I wish we'd hear news soon" or "I have a feeling we'll hear news on *insert date*" to count as speculation. If those are the only things to say then you know it isn't worth posting

Time flies so fast.. I think it's great that Matt gave us an official reason to be excited. Two weeks or two months, who cares? We'll obviously get it this year, which is the only thing that matters. Gosh, there're so many things that'll gradually make us happy - release date, record name, cover(!), tracklisting / song names, the music (obviously), tour dates.. A band new GD era! I can't wait
