I may have stitched it together using Billie's garbage and a bunch of hair from his comb I stole...

Yeah, same here. My parents are the same way. I wanted to go to an AC/DC show just a couple of miles from my hometown, and my parents insisted that I had to bring at least one of them and one non-male friend. Same for a Megadeth show earlier on this year. Hell, I'm not even allowed to go to a Led Zeppelin tribute basically in our backyard alone, and my parents hate rock music. There's also the matter of spending money on a ticket for someone who probably won't enjoy a loud rock concert as much as I will. The point being, I hope that GD announces tour dates a month or two in advance and schedules at least one within a ten-mile radius of where I live, so I'll have plenty of time to soften up my parents and to coax them into letting their 17-year-old daughter attend a show by herself.

Exactly, I need time to plan and negotiate :P Hopefully they will announce tour dates in advance so we have some time. In fact, my parents wouldn't let me go alone even in my city but there's a chance some of my friends who are casual fans would go with me (now it struck me, I really do not want to go see Green Day with a group of male friends). They'd let me go with them. But the chance I could travel on my own is close to 0%

My issue is that my mum loves green day, so will definitely be coming wih me to the show(s), but she hates moshing and so will be trying to get us seated tickets.  Somehow I'll have to try to negotiate around that.

Seating tickets are usually not that great for these kind of shows. You want to jump around and go crazy, and people might get annoyed with that when you are seated.

I don't think that's a huge issue with Green Day. I've been in seats a few times and people have always been standing up and dancing etc. I mean I'd much rather be on the floor, but it was still possible to have a good time.

@Second favourite son, if you're going to more than one show maybe you could do one in seats and one on the floor? Then she might agree to it, that's how I convince seat people :P

I've been in like 3 or 4 Green Day mosh-pits, and I gotta tell you. I think I'm ready to do a show sitting down, I'm 25 ffs :P

I'd be more inclined to get a little crazy and rough in the pit if it wasn't a band as "tame" as GD, and it's often a lot of small girls in the crowd. Roughing up the pit would be a dick move unless everyone is in on it.

Yeah I've been thinking the same thing. But my girlfriend, who is not much of a Green Day fan but started to appreciate them since she's with me, said that she would love to go to a Green Day show with me as soon as they are on tour again and she prefers to stand. We'll see about that.

Tré's drum head logo theory de-bunked (Thanks to @desertrose for posting in the Instagram thread)

..and the missing trash cymbal has appeared. Nothing to see here then (except the amazing kit )

Is that the first time he's used black hardware? That is sexy.

Same here - mom, who is more likely to go, will definitely want to sit down. I'll have to explain to her that I need to get on stage to play Longview. Hopefully she won't let me practice in vain.

My mom wants to go as well after seeing them live, but she wants seats.
I already said that she could do that, but I'll be in the pit.
Maybe, as someone else stated, if you are able to attend multiple shows, you can do seats for one and the floor for another (may do that myself)

I can't believe we're on page 221- I predicted they'd announce the album by page 170! This thread is getting more bonkers by the day..but it is fun to read.

When I predicted we would be at page 200 I really thought it was a long shot. Now I only see it happening after page 300.

Maybe we should create a thread only for new record useless talking and another one only to discuss real news. Idk. This post itself is useless. Sorry, mods. :(

This.

We seem to be posting at a rate of 5 pages a day and most of the posts are repeat posts/irrelevant posts/ shite. But this thread is quite entertaining to read

But it's rad that everyone here is so psyched for new GD we can fill up 221 pages with such little info

I believe that the single will be released in August. The album announcement earlier.

I'm 100% certain that's the case he uses for his guitars on tour. I see a setlist, blue, The silver sparkled LPJ, and his black LPJ.

That setlist behind Blue almost gave me a heart attack, thought it was the tracklist of the new album.

Oh shit

Wonder what show that setlist is from?

No new songs on there
