desertrose Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 He is the co-owner with Billie Joe of Broken Guitars. He is in Pinhead Gunpowder with Billie Joe and Jason. Bill worked as Green Day's guitar tech on their albums Nimrod and Warning, and was tour manager for their American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown tours.

I'm going to wake up one morning (or when I'm on my phone laying in bed after work) and I'm just going to see an Instagram picture from one of the guys saying "green day is in the studio!" With a picture of them in the control room. They're already in the studio hey, aren't they making some Anti - Terrorism album? as those pictures depicts!

That picture was taken months ago but your right I'm pretty sure that is the same room that's in the backround of tres drums picture. (It's broken guitars oakland) I just went on bills Instagram now and he put the same picture up that Billie put up yesterday of the amps
desertrose Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Yeah saw that pic posted too. Looks like they may have been working for awhile now, recording some music.
Punkfreak1414 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Could there also be a possibility that there working on another foxboro hot tubs album? Or a side project like that. That studio doesn't look like it's as professional compared to the other places they have recorded previous green day albums. It actually looks pretty laid back.

They are probably in pre production right now. The studio that they're in at the moment is the same one that SWMRS used for recording Drive North. I think it's one of billies studios that he owns and rents out to people. Once they've recorded these demos, then I'm guessing that they're gonna head to Jingletown and record the final cut there
Sanity Loan Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Who knows, they could be further along than we thought and that Les Paul photo by Bill was of Billie or Jason playing. Billie microphone pic or Trè drums could be them tracking finals.
Punkfreak1414 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I think honestly based on the instagram post and how a year ago around the time of the hall of fame induction when Billie said he was writing and rob cavollo said Billie has 5 songs demoed and etc. I think at this rate the LATEST that we'll see a new green day album will be summer of 2017 and the earliest (and unlikely) would be around October of this year. Thoughts?
Siddharth_471 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Even if the studio is not looking that "high-profiled" they may have selected it to achieve some different or more raw sound. I didn't have the the knowledge of all those technical things like amplifiers and recorders but I noticed that Billie isn't using his signature Gibson jr. but only Stratocaster and Les Paul are present there and you guys noticed those posters hanging around? It can be concept album or those photos will become the album or singles cover art. I want A NEW, KICKASS GREEN DAY ALBUM TO COME SOON!!
Punkfreak1414 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 If you guys take the time for a moment and look at tres Instagram picture of his drums of you zoom in to the room behind the drum set you can see (what I'm pretty confident) is Billie joe writing something on a piece of paper on the wall and if you look to the left you can see a computer with what looks like there's recorded tracks on it. ??????

W_FInkThePlatypusHunter Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I hate to be "that guy", but I'm feeling like there's enough evidence to support that this next album will follow the same lines of 21st CB and American Idiot. The pictures on the walls on the studio point to it especially. Sound wise, it looks like it's going to be the gritty hard sound from the albums mentioned previous. I'm not going to say that this is what is destined to happen, just my thoughts so far.
desertrose Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Resurrect Some of these hash tags Billie Joe used in his new instagram photo that was just posted. I like the last two tags forfansonly and newalbum
W_FInkThePlatypusHunter Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Well gang, it looks like we have another mystery on our hands...maybe? We haven't full established the validity of this instagram user have we?
sara_gd Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Bill was also the manager of the 99 revolutions tour, and the shows they did before the trilogy was released, as you can see in Cuatro. I hadn't realised how exciting it would be if they'd be already well into the recording process and not in jingletown. It could mean a new sound! I don't know if this other studio is more rudimentary than jingletown, and I know in the past they've recorded in other studios as well as in jingletown, but it's exciting to think they may be doing something of the type of BJ's home studio. Btw... If this new studio is likely to be on the back of Broken Guitars, you could probably hear something from the store? That would be a way of knowing if it's there for sure.
Alan86 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I wonder if Rob Cavallo is with them during the recording process or if they've decided on a new producer or no producer at al.

alienlifeform Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I think the studio they are right now is the same where Jakob recorded too
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 What if Armageddon is the title of the new album.

All we have is pictures that appear they are in the studio and the equipment we think they are using in the process. I haven't seen them post any tabs or sheet music or release any demos or even see a potential album cover. Until we see or hear any of those, we have no clue what the album we think they are recording will be like.
