Dan3siko Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 What's interesting about that podcast though is that Dugan only mentions working with cavallo or vig with green day, suggesting that the producer for the current album is one of the two (most likely cavallo). It also could be possible that he is selectively leaving out the present record though.

Yeah Dugan came in I think Warning era (or may have been Nimrod) so he wouldn't have worked with Jerry Finn or the person who produced the Lookout albums (I forget his name and not at home to look at the booklet) Dugan is private-ish so he maybe keeping producer details mum until the band announces details

I've been impatiently awaiting new albums from my two favorite bands and both have been so secretive about the recording process. We've only gotten one studio pic from the other band, and it doesn't reveal anything. This was in addition to an earlier photo of the frontman drafting lyrics, but the words on the papers were much too small to make out. Green Day's been on hiatus for even longer, and I haven't been a fan long enough to witness any of their earlier album launches. They seem to be tempting us with snippets of information and unhelpful photos from inside the studio, and it makes me want to explode because I am ready for the album drop now.

Collaboration with u2 in 2006, working class hero in 2007 and foxboro hot tubs after that. They finally took their well deserved brake this time.

Very excited though, I'm hoping for a September release. It wasn't that bad, only 3 1/2 years. Plus we got The Saints Are Coming, Working Class Hero, and Foxboro Hot Tubs in that time. So it really wasn't all that bad compared to now where it's been 2 1/2 years and all we've gotten was the Christmas song.

Don't bash me for mentioning another band on this forum. It's not like anything else hasn't been said of the sort.
Justin1 Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 This is what I'm hoping for: -Announcement of album completion with a name (Mid-July) -Announcement of single name and launch (End of July) -A well received upbeat first single with a lot of positive publicity with an announcement of Album release date and tour dates shortly after (End July/Beginning August) -A few media interviews and a couple shows to introduce a couple new songs -An amazing power ballad second single released a week or 2 before the album release with a full leak! (Early September) -A kick ass album with a positive reception that debuts in the top 5 in 20+ countries. (Mid September) -A nearly sold out arena tour with a healthy Green Day playing as close to prime as can be, with a decent opener. (Fall/Winter 2016) -The same thing over again in 4 years The end ?
