Garden State, Juno and Trainspotting just to name some. I would think it would depend on the quality of the soundtrack, the success of the film and if they can find a company to distribute the soundtrack.

Trainspotting was produced by Miramax one of the biggest production companies around Garden State had Miramax and 20th Century Fox behind it both major studios and was produced by Danny DeVito's Jersey Films (which was backed by Miramax back then)Juno was Mandate Productions (which is owned and controlled by Lions Gate which is a major studio) and was distributed by 20th Fentury Fox (the company behind The Simpsons Star Wars Independence Day) very horrible comparisons Geezer doesn't have any major studio behind it like the others Geezer really is an independent movie

Also Juno had a wide release in theaters it made over 143 million in the US limited runs do not make that much can't make that much in limited runs... Jaws was made for almost the same amount and wasn't in every theater as well I guess Jaws is an independent movie as well...

WhiteTim Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 ??? this isn't a pecker competition! http://www.slashfilm.com/honest-to-blog-juno-is-the-most-successful-indie-in-six-years-dvd-details/this is a thread about geezer not Juno why can't they do these things in london...if Jason and Diablo had paid for the film themselves and then sold it to Fox yes it'd be a indie however Mandate Productions which is a major production company owned by even a bigger studio PAID the 7 mill for it to be filmed and produced it it's not an indie yes Fox treated it as such as there were no major stars and such but after word of a mouth they got it to every theater so yes I guess you can say Pesudo Indie but it's not a true indie as it wasn't filmed or paid for locally it was a produced by a biggie production company is all I'm saying since JJ brought up the movies I was simply pointing out those movies were produced by major production companies (who financed the movies making them not really independent movies) hence soundtracks were issues (I also forgot to mention said soundtracks were released by labels owned by the parent companies who own both the movie studios and music labels) geezer is a true indie as there's no production company backing it no major studio backing it the director and producers financed it themselves and is going to theaters showing it themselves so far hence why I say I doubt a soundtrack is coming so far (i never said there is no soundtrack period just that I doubt so) I hope there is a soundtrack as any new Billie written tunes is wanted in my book
