Seattle won. All of us fans were hoping for a win, but we lost.

But he has an apartment in NY, so he could follow the Jets.  But that won't help.

That is true, but at least if he backed the Rangers he would be backing a team that is good.  Or maybe he is bad luck and I don't want him to back them.  If he is bad luck, hopefully he is a Blackhawks fan.
