Oh, God, if I ever have to go through the hassle I went through with HoB I'll die. That shit was stressful and totally unnecessary. I could have used anyone's ID to get into that show.

Shocking. But yeah, as expected, nothing the band can do about it and nothing more they can add to the conversation. It was canceled, it really sucks for everyone involved, but... yeah, that's pretty much all there is to talk about it. Sounds like they're bummed, too. Which isn't surprising. It's not like anyone doubted that. Just because they're not issuing a public apology (which is unnecessary anyway) doesn't mean they're OK with what happened.

I was sort of having a crap day and took it out on Jeff. I apologized to him. I never expected him to see the tweet, let alone reply to it. It had nothing to do with my being a Green Day fan, tbh. And I apologize that I took something wrong in the moment. I have a track record of that. Plus I'm the least of people who should be "scaring or worrying you."

Mary711 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 If you have spend that much money on flights, hotels etc. with the main goal to see the band again after a long time it's pretty normal to be absolutely down now as there was more to this whole thing than just getting in your car to see a show of your favourite band which costs you're saving or getting back now. You don't have to worry about how to make the best of a holiday you haven't planned like this in the first place or finding a new destination. Traveling to the US on your own or for the first time is a huge thing as well and now you might have to do it but lost the reason that makes all the effort worth it which really sucks and destroys all your arguments for the adventure. So I think it's totally understandable that you're hoping for any kind of hint no matter how small or just a little sign which indeed could be coming from the band to see if there might be something else happening to make the best out of it. And this doesn't come from the attitude that they owe us something, it would only be a nice and appreciated move to guess what's happening next. Also I don't get why some of you with tickets and plans to go are argueing that this was meant to be shit anyway because of the location and organization instead of being incredibly happy about the chance to be able to see them and attend the show in the first place.

The band don't owe anything and it is a risk you take when you book gig travel, but it still isn't unreasonable to be upset and hope for some consolation if you've just found out you have redundant flights, which is all Fran and Sara were doing. There's a lot of acting entitled in this fandom for sure, but I don't think they were and there's much worse out there to get angry about, anyway

I don't know if I misunderstood your post but I felt the end was implying I was saying this is green days fault - which is not what I'm meaning to get across at all.

That exactly. I was thinking a few days ago, the day before they cancelled the festival, is this going to be worth all the money and all the time wasted to book everything (so many problems)? My dad put on 21st Century Breakdown in the car while I was thinking it and it was so great, that's when I realised it was all worth it. So now.... Can you guys still see Jeff Matika's post about NiFi on his twitter? I read them earlier but now I can't seem to find them...
