From the description of the movie and the trailer I figured the movie would be shit but actually I just finished watching it and it left me feeling all warm and fuzzy. Yeah Billie actually had the worst lines and pretty much sucks as an actor but also appears for about 2 minutes so barely impacts on it, ha! For me the family angst and Elinore's general "Oh shit now what have I done or gotten myself into!" is so ridiculously relatable it's not funny. I enjoyed it and I honestly thought I'd hate it! Be warned though my opinion may be clouded by my current residence on cloud nine recently which has the impact of impaired judgement and a fondness of anything "cute" .

So I actually saw the DVD for this at my local Family Video rental place today. I'll probably check it out sometime so I can rewatch it!
