Mykee Mexx Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Really, this isn´t too bad! And it reminds me of my own (one and only) appearance in a short film. Same hasty words, trying to act natural, feeling slightly insecure, but having a blast! Yeah, he should go on with it, if he likes it. Some acting basics, and then go for it! And I never realized his speaking voice was that high. Sounds a bit weird to me. But, hey, I would encourage him to go on with that acting shit.

It's became higher over the years, but this is an extreme. He doesn't have such a high voice now, especially when he speaks up.
Chin for a Day Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I think his speaking voice isn't always so high. It's became higher over the years, but this is an extreme. He doesn't have such a high voice now, especially when he speaks up. I honestly think it is nerves. He has a high voice when he gives interviews, he also fidgets, scratches his arms and pokes at his neck. His voice isn't as high in concert, where he is very comfortable. But, the voice in concert could be because he is using his voice alot, bit it doesn't sound strained, just deeper.

I don't think his voice would be high anytime in the past, though. this started not so long ago, but your explanation makes still makes sense as nerves change the way they represent themselves. It's much more plausible explanation than cigarettes or drinking, because the voice is higher and often changes for better.

Karl Karlson Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 The movie was OK, Billie's (watched it because of him, but wasn't all like "omg, Billy is in it, so it has to be good" or anything similar ) acting was good - 1 or 2 cringe worthy moments, but not bad at all (and I have seen A LOT of movies). Cinematography was not too great, the movie was visually too dark and not balanced at all (cheap post-production?) [the screenshots below are edited, since I cranked up the brightness while watching, since I couldn't see shit otherwise] My favorite scenes were when we could only see the back of BJs head for several seconds Can't recommend the movie to anyone, but if you like to see BJ in a movie (for 3 scenes) - go watch it.
desertrose Posted April 27, 2015 Author Posted April 27, 2015 Complete film https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXtM9gSAXbo
UNICORN VOMIT Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 desertrose is my favourite poster - thankyou I checked in the hall he's not there As if Dennis would use the word despondent.....
ZSebs Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 So I just recently watched the clip and I realized that if I had not known who Billie was or anything, I would probably have nothing against his acting. It is honestly decent. I don't think that he could ever win an award for it, but he definitely could get by with certain roles if he continues to pursue acting.
stories and songs Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Definitely the first time (well, possibly the second) I've ever felt the urge to smack him. He did whiny, shitty boyfriend excellently! I've never found him to be a horrible actor, just not very experienced. He'll get better if he tries it more often. If it makes him happy, good for him.
Todd Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Anyone care to post the times for Billie's scenes for the above video? I don't feel like watching the entire movie I thought that trailer was good I don't care what you guys think about Billie's acting, that trailer brightened up my day, and that's all that matters. I like his high voice. and normally those "Billie never ages!" comments irritate me, but he certainly does a good job pulling off a young look for this!

Billie Hoe Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 (and idk, Leighton Meester will forever be Blair Waldorf for me ) Here's the video of the premiere (in case this hasn't already been posted) Billie is such a goof, posing for a mug shot on the red carpet
Ritz Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I still have to watch it. I will get around to it, hopefully.
HARVESTER Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Angsty Billie joe It's like one of those fanfics lol. He is not "angsty." He is too happy.
Mykee Mexx Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Tbh, I can watch this again and again and again. The more often I watch it the more I like it. A lovely little gem of art.

stories and songs Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I cannot possibly fathom being critical of him in any way, shape or form when he is so cute in that premiere video. Nope. Can't do it.
The Grouch is Tracy Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I'm sure I could not do any better, but maybe not Billie's forte.
Jimmy Strummer Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 LOL I don't know why, but I feel like they gave Billie the shittiest lines in the whole script!! "You're gonna pay for that guitar, MAKE NO MISTAKE!" "You're gonna pay for my shit! Fuckin' bitch!!"
Hermione Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I was going to watch the whole thing but couldn't be bothered so I just watched the Billie bits. Lol . It's a pretty silly character, he wasn't that bad at playing it but there were some dodgy bits and obviously because it's him the whole thing was hilarious to watch. I thought the worst/funniest bit was when he said "fucking bitch!" and then a few moments later "fucking bitch!" again in the exact same tone/inflection, as if it was recorded and replayed.

Exactly what I thought. It really sounds like it was the same material twice. Odd.

Mykee Mexx Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Not odd - solid gold Haha, okay! To me it really disturbed his performance, that I think was quite good. But this "double" somehow ruined it for me.
