captain peroxide Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I just hope they come back to their Insomniac style. Upbeat songs with dums, bass and distorted guitars only. I would die.
DannyDirnt Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I would die. I know right? Man, just imagin having new performances like this:
DannyDirnt Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Insomniac had fucking killer bass lines Well, it's pretty much buried under the guitar...
Travis. Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Well, it's pretty much buried under the guitar... Not as audible as the guitar, but it's still kickass
DannyDirnt Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Not as audible as the guitar, but it's still kickass Well, they still do have some pretty awesome basslines. What about Stray Heart?
captain peroxide Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Well, they still do have some pretty awesome basslines. What about Stray Heart? I love Stray Heart, but the beat and bassline are a total Lust for Life ripoff.
DannyDirnt Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I love Stray Heart, but the beat and bassline are a total Lust for Life ripoff. True that, but I like Stray Heart much more. At least live... The studio version is dull. Fuck I want to see them live again.
WhiteTim Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Stray Heart is just a bad version of Mother Mary and Billie can't sing it live...
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I need to check out the Cometbus zine now. I never really bothered to look for it because I expected a pile of flattery from a friend. I'd appreciate the scans...aren't there any somewhere already?
captain peroxide Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I need to check out the Cometbus zine now. I never really bothered to look for it because I expected a pile of flattery from a friend. I'd appreciate the scans...aren't there any somewhere already? Not that I've found. At the time, the view (which I agreed with) was that since Aaron finances the 'zine himself and barely profits off them as it is, it'd be a dick move to scan it and spread it around. But I feel like after 4 years, enough time has passed that it's really not a big deal. Edit: Found it! It's 100 fucking pages long, though, so I won't have it done until Saturday evening.
UNICORN VOMIT Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 But how would you describe a huge stadium song? Because those two have very little in common. Maybe a crowd-pleaser that people enjoy singing along to? Brutal love has nothing to do with my original quote - its just sexy as hell
DannyDirnt Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Brutal love has nothing to do with my original quote - its just sexy as hell That's for sure! It's the best ending ever, I sure prefer it over Good Riddance.
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 That's for sure! It's the best ending ever, I sure prefer it over Good Riddance.
stuck-with-she Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Brutal love doesn't quite get the waterworks going as well as good riddance. Also less fun to sing along to.
DannyDirnt Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I enjoy Brutal Love much more. And I prefer singing along to it. Good Riddance is a good classic, and I love it, but as a ballad I think Brutal Love is better. The concert I went to had both though.
DannyDirnt Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 i think we're all in the wrong thread now Oh, you're right So yeah, if they're gonna take so much time they better bring us some solid shit
Guest Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Let's have a wrong thread day! I'm not sure how that would be any different from any other day for me.
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I cannot get over these news headlines blowing Billie's comments about a "new album" completely out of proportion. I'm embarrassed for my industry.
UNICORN VOMIT Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I cannot get over these news headlines blowing Billie's comments about a "new album" completely out of proportion. I'm embarrassed for my industry. I thought the same - if you went by the headlines you would think they were ready to hit the studio.
Chin for a Day Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I thought the same - if you went by the headlines you would think they were ready to hit the studio. Everything that has been said is so ambiguous you no idea what they are up too. for all we know maybe they have already hit the studio.
Ross_19 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Maybe they already released an album but forgot to say, cause why not But on a serious note, yeah, the headlines are blowing it way out of proportion!
