Warning is my favourite green day album. My favourite trilogy album at the moment is UNO but it does change all the time depending on my mood.

I like Warning. I've been listening to it a lot lately. I've also discovered that I like Dos too. I didn't for a long time, but I listened to it again a few days ago and had a newfound appreciation for the songs. I'm not sure why I had the sudden change but I just like the songs now.

I love Tre a lot, as well. It is my favorite from the trilogy. The three albums, each had their own feeling. Uno felt like they were getting back to their roots, songs that described their lives as teenagers in Rodeo and Berkeley. Like Rusty James and Sweet 16. But Dos and Troublemaker just didn't strike me the same. They were 40 when they wrote these songs, and it's a little awkward listening to BJ singing about admiring a girl as though he was a hormonal schoolboy. There were definitely some good songs on Uno and Dos, but I felt like I got the most enjoyment out of Tre. I still admire everything they release and respect it, because even though we don't like it, you just have to imagine what it'd feel like to be them, playing the music you wrote, it's an amazing feeling to do so, and it's because of this, I don't just hate the songs of theirs that I dislike, I admire them, and listen to them from time to time.

LOVE Warning and I love Dos --- and yes, for the garage -y feel.

Billie Joe jumped through a window of a moving car to beat someone up for trashing his band... by trashing their album you have trashed the band so trash you.

That wasn't for disliking an album his band made though, it was for yelling insults at him. Slight difference between stating that you dislike an album and aggressively verbally abusing someone in the street.

I agree that Tre is a brilliant album, always nice to hear that opinion :D. Brutal Love is particularly amazing, and 8th Avenue Serenade, and the whole thing runs together well and concludes the trio of albums really nicely with the positive sentiments of The Forgotten. Dos is my favourite though, fun and sexy but dark and reflective in places too, and I love all the songs.

I wouldn't call Tré brilliant, but it's not half-bad. My personal favorite of the trilogy. First 8 songs are actually really fucking solid. I wish the album would've stopped when track 8 ended. The four after made me have an aneurysm.

In my opinion, I definitely wouldn't call Tre a brilliant album. It's just not as shitty as the other two.

and no doubt a great album ... But Uno and better !!

Its' their worst album. Only good songs on there are X-Kid and Brutal Love.. 99 Revolutions is ok

Warning's shite and the Trilogy's shite. That's about it.

Warning's got some good songs, definitely. Misery, Minority and Castaway being three. But as an album, it just doesn't work for me. I appreciate and respect the fact that they tried something different with that album, but it's just not to my taste. The songs in isolation aren't too bad, but it's probably my least-played album.

Honestly I'd have to agree with you on this one. It's still not a great album, but I think it's the least formulaic and also has some really great tracks. X kid might be the best song on the trilogy, and Dirty rotten bastards and Drama queen are really good as well.

I'd probably have Dos as the number 2 spot, with uno coming in third.

I sort of wish they did a double album instead of a triple album honestly, even though I like almost all the songs on the trilogy I think it would have been more acclaimed as a double album with like 14 songs each and the other songs could be bonus songs or b-sides.

It's weird how I have flip flopped on that over the past two years. I guess Tre' is more my style these days. Thanks for responding.

I have thought this same thing!!!! Triple album is like a decades worth of material, lyrically. I felt like the lyrics were rushed just to achieve the triple album goal the guys had. I love Demolicious though, glad, yet surprised, they released that after the trilogy. Thanks for responding.

Uno is so poppy, I LOVED it upon first listen, but then the songs quickly got old. I still like UNO though. Don't get me wrong, sub-par green day music is still a trillion times better than most music!!! My ranking would be: 1) Tre' 2)Uno 3) Dos

Warning's shite and the Trilogy's shite. That's about it.

So you don't like a over a third of green day's albums then? That's interesting. I respect your opinion though. Thanks for responding.

LOL! This made me laugh. I hate that about some albums. It's like how the heck does this happen? Maybe their next album will only be 7 or 8 tracks. lol.

In my opinion, I definitely wouldn't call Tre a brilliant album. It's just not as shitty as the other two.

Understood. Brutal Love is my favorite track. Love the lyrics and music, it's so different from the rest of the songs. maybe, that's why i like it???? I'm a mystery to myself.

I didn't even think of it like that

But yeah, I explained my thoughts on Warning a couple of posts ago. I respect them for trying something different, but it's just not my taste. I do like a couple of songs, though.

As for the Trilogy, again, I don't like most of it. Tre is probably the best of the three, but it's still not a patch on their other albums in my opinion. If it had been a single album of the 10 or 12 best songs then I'd have liked that, but there was too much crap for my liking.

Am I the only one that thinks of the Trilogy as like one huge album? I'd rather think they had one shitty album instead of three consecutive ones :P

I think of it as one album in three sections. But I don't think it's shitty :P

Warning is shit, 21st Century Breakdown is shit and the Trilogy is, by and large, shit. If they'd picked 13 ok songs and made a single album instead of taking 13 ok songs and a ton of shitty filler to make three, it might not have sucked as hard.

can we not say 21CBD is shit when it's clearly not? Thanks.

can you be original? kbai :)

I am, apparently, being original around here when I say that Green Day hasn't done anything worth a shit since American Idiot, and were it not for that album, their career would have ended ingloriously in 1999.

have you even met Ceadagh.

Too moderate in his opinions imo
