Z J Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 One of the main problems with the trilogy was quality control. So yes it can be argued that picking 12 and saying "this would have been a good album" is pointless because everyone has favorites. However, that isn't really the point. If they had simply given us 12 of what they believed to be the strongest songs on albums (just look at what they play live to get a general idea of what that would be) then the trilogy would have been far better off. There would have been way less weak songs to pick at no matter which 12 they picked.
PanicAttack! Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 A lot could've been done to make the trilogy more "successful", but the most obvious mistakes that were made had nothing to do with the fact that it was 37 songs split out on three discs. They could've promoted it differently, and chosen other singles. Would it have worked? I don't know, but if they had compiled the albums into one, it would probably have been the same songs chosen as singles, and they would've still flopped.
That Dude Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Where can I find the book versions of the Trilogy? I've tried the official page, amazon, ebay....can't find them anywhere! ....ebay has Uno and Dos, but I'd like to get all three together...can't find Tre anywhere on the net.

localinsomniac Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Oh good, this conversation again. Fun.
tubbyfox Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Well I love Tre - I've had it going in the car since it came out. Who cannot love Brutal Love and X Kid and Missing You and Amanda? I would add Nuclear Family, Stay The Night, Carpe Diem, Rusty James, Stray Heart, Lazy Bones, Baby Eyes. Perfect.

I would add Nuclear Family, Stay the Night, Carpe Diem, Rusty James, Stray Heart, Lazy Bones, Baby Eyes. Perfect. Me. I can't get into "Brutal Love". I mean, yeah, it's a good song, but it's like "21 Guns" for me. Once every 3 years I listen to and that was it.
Karl Karlson Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Oh right, "Oh Love" is the 3rd song that didn't come to mind, since it doesn't exist in my digital music collection, haha
WhiteTim Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 People who don't like Brutal Love are dangerous people and needs to be locked up for life ijs
