Libertine Angel Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I could listen to good music on repeat indefinitely - I once listened to Dookie at least once a day, every day for a month, and it was still just as great every time.
WhiteTim Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I could listen to good music on repeat indefinitely - I once listened to Dookie at least once a day, every day for a month, and it was still just as great every time. But everyone is different I love In Utero one of the top albums for me personally but I couldn't listen to it non stop all day it'd drive me crazy
Mayonaise Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I could probably listen to RHCP's Californication all damn day on repeat.
LostHighway Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I'll kick things off. I'm thinking along the lines of something like this. All three are great live songs. 1. Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? 2. Boulevard Of Broken Dreams 3. Last of the American Girls or this 1. 2000 Light Years Away 2. Basket Case 3. American idiot
Mayonaise Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 1. Longview 2. Brain Stew 3. Hitchin' a Ride Just some various hits.
ZSebs Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 1. Welcome to Paradise 2. American Idiot 3. Dirty Rotten Bastards If they play Letterbomb, I will be disappointed. I know Billie loves the song, and I love it too, but he would make it into a 10 minute event with him just sitting waiting for everyone to start screaming at him to start playing again
Chin for a Day Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 This is what I want to see: The start with a medley which includes, but is not limited too, Waiting first, but also includes Mother Mary, select songs from Lookout era, Brutal Love. Then they go right into When I Come Around, then 21 Guns and finish with American Idiot. The last song of the show will be a medley with all the performers. It will start with With A Little Help from my Friends, then go into I Love Rock and Roll and finish with Good Riddance. I am not holding my breath.
M0n3y Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 3 songs is not enough, dammit! But these three seem the most obvious to me: American Idiot Basket Case Good Riddance But I don't really care what they play, just don't do Nightlife please.
Billie Hoe Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I think they will play mostly songs from the 90s
Guest Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I think they will play mostly songs from the 90s They can only play 3 songs, I'm betting on one song from the 90's, the rest will be from AI/21CBD. Unless they finish with Good Riddance (dear god I hope not).
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 They can only play 3 songs, I'm betting on one song from the 90's, the rest will be from AI/21CBD. Unless they finish with Good Riddance (dear god I hope not). FUCK YOU, Good Riddance is great! But yeah, considering it's just Billie on that song, it would probably be kind of lame to pick it as one of their three, obviously.

AlissaGoesRAWR Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 same, haha... I doubt (or i don't hope) that Billie plays Good Riddance at the end because everyone would misunderstand the song AGAIN... I'd say they've pretty much ironically embraced the misunderstanding. They have no choice but to join in, considering it's arguably their most commercially successful song, in terms of exposure.
Chin for a Day Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 WE don't know yet if they will only get 3 songs. The headliner has gotten 4 in the past. I actually asked the rock hall who the headliner is and they told me they don't announce that ahead of time. If it's Ringo I will rip the screen down. I still think the closing number will be a medley with all performers and will be With A LIttle Help from My Friends, I love rock and roll and good riddance. I would bet on that
Guest Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 If Green Day isn't the headliner I will sell my fucking tickets.
Chin for a Day Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 If Green Day isn't the headliner I will sell my fucking tickets. Can I hold you to that?
Guest Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Can I hold you to that? .............................. no
grene cniht Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Can anyone please tell me what the Good Riddance misunderstanding is about? Thanks
Chin for a Day Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Can anyone please tell me what the Good Riddance misunderstanding is about? Thanks The song is always played at graduations, weddings, etc. Most people think it is about looking back fondly, on something that has ended. However, Billie wrote it when his girlfriend dumped him. It is supposed to be sarcastic.
DookieLukie Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I doubt they'll play any 21CB stuff considering that album wasn't that popular. And dear God, please no Dirty Rotten Bastards. Right now I'm calling some combo of American Idiot, Basket Case, and 2,000 Light Years Away.

DookieLukie Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 It sold 4 million albums 21 Guns was a high charting single can't say it wasn't that popular But it didn't have the impact of AI or Dookie. It's not as much a part of who they are.
Z J Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 They won't play anything off of 21CB. Unless for some reason they choose NOW to become completely unpredictable with their setlists, a mere 25 years in to their careers No, there's no way
