iScottie Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 do you think they'll be playing when they'll be presented (like Joan Jett did) or at the "performance" part? when presented and at the end
captain peroxide Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 It's Paul butterfield. Quick, without googling, name a Paul butterfield song Are you in this thread just to shit on all the other inductees, or what? Wasn't it you complaining about people being excited to see John Legend earlier? Jesus Christ, just because it's not a style or genre you deem worthy doesn't mean these people don't deserve their induction.
Raven93 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 How many songs will Green Day play ? 3 is the max if I'm sure ?

Karol Oliveira Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Billie, Mike, Tré, Adrienne, Britt, Joey, Jakob... they could instagram something while they're there! Remember when Billie posted a pic of Nicki Minaj's butt during the VMA?
inthehallwaynow Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 It's Paul butterfield. Quick, without googling, name a Paul butterfield song i only know he's married to Mrs. butterworth
Snowman Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I believe it does. Ringo is considered influential by association. If he only had his solo career would you feel the same? Plus none of that matters. He is being given an honorary award. This show should be about the performers who were voted in. It is the same as making the highlight of the Oscars the Cecil b demille awardwinner Poor George - never gets a mention. He wrote a tune or two. "Something" is just the greatest. And Clapton nicked his wife. Or was it the other way round?
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Something tells me this is the order. PRESENTERS Miley Cyrus inducting Joan Jett & the Blackhearts Paul McCartney inducting Ringo Starr Stevie Wonder inducting Bill Withers Patti Smith inducting Lou Reed Peter Wolf inducting the Paul Butterfield Blues Band Fall Out Boy inducting Green Day John Mayer inducting Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble Steve Cropper inducting the "5" Royales PERFORMERS Zac Brown and Tom Morello and harmonica player Jason Ricci performing for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band John Mayer, Gary Clark, Jr., Jimmy Vaughan and others performing for Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble Beck and Karen O (Yeah Yeah Years) and Nate Ruess performing to honor Lou Reed John Legend performing for Bill Withers Tommy James will play with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts on "Crimson and Clover." Foo Fighter frontman and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dave Grohl (Nirvana) will also perform with the group f.u.c.k. Wrong, because Paul Butterfield Blues Band is happening now.

Wasn't it you complaining about people being excited to see John Legend earlier? Jesus Christ, just because it's not a style or genre you deem worthy doesn't mean these people don't deserve their induction. No I'm not and I love John legend. I just thought it was green day.

Chin for a Day Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Poor George - never gets a mention. He wrote a tune or two. "Something" is just the greatest. And Clapton nicked his wife. Or was it the other way round? George is my favorite
MaraGreenDay Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Why are Jakob and Joey both taller than them? Well my brother and I are taller than our parents
Tubbie Head Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 K then, I'm out. (They'll be inducted next I'm sure)
inthehallwaynow Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 George is my favorite yessss and i love his solo stuff also his work with the wilburys
Iva Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Poor George - never gets a mention. He wrote a tune or two. "Something" is just the greatest. And Clapton nicked his wife. Or was it the other way round? George is incredible in so many ways and the only one of them I ever liked. If anybody challenges this, I don't give a shit. ... Patti Smith is incredible too and if she is the one honouring Lou Reed, HOLY CRAP, that is a must see! Hope there will be clips.
kristóf Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 8:30 p.m. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame did an excellent job honoring The Paul Butterfield Blues Band by putting together a trio of great performers. Tom Morello hopped on guitar during a performance of "Born in Chicago," honoring the Paul Butterfield Blues Band's late guitarist Mike Bloomfield. Harmonic player Jason Ricci absolutely slayed his part, while country star Zac Brown, whose voice is a solid match for the late Paul Butterfield's, sang lead. 8:17 p.m. Joan Jett on her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: "I come from a place where rock 'n' roll means something. It means more than music, more than fashion, more than a good pose. It is a language of a subculture that has made eternal teenagers out of all who follow it. It's a subculture of integrity, rebellion, frustration, alienation and the glue that set several generations free of unnatural societal and self-supression. Rock n roll is political. It is a meaningful way to express dissent, upset the status quo, stir up revolution and fight for human rights." "You think I am making more important and more serious than it is? It's only rock 'n' roll, right? Rock n roll is an idea and an ideal. Sometimes, because we love the music and we make the music, we forget the political impact it has on people around the world. There are Pussy Riots wherever there is political agitation. We've become so conditioned in measuring our music's impact in dollar signs only that we can forget what it is really about. The music! Emotion! Expression!"
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Also, I've recovered, in case anyone cares.
iScottie Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Wrong, because Paul Butterfield Blues Band is happening now. Oh okay. Maybe they'll alternate between a presenter and a performer? Hmm...only time will tell!
