Guest Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 If you hate Miley you're literally being trolled in real life. I heard that one time Miley trolled all of GDC and gave literally no fucks.
Mykee Mexx Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Miley is one of the few Disney celebs who managed to change her image from squeaky clean, cute good girl to dirty, nasty bad girl without having to go to rehab to do it and while remaining in the public eye the entire time. Gotta give her props. Who went to rehab to become nasty? And what is so remarkable about changing from one extreme to the other? And, yes, she makes a lot stylish effort to stay in the public eye.

And, yes, she makes a lot stylish effort to stay in the public eye. Lindsay Lohan springs to mind. I'm sure there have been plenty of others but they've become so obscure that I can't even think of them. It's remarkable that she was able to successfully rebrand herself and have people take her new image seriously. No one thinks of Miley as the cute little Disney starlet anymore. When you think of Miley, you think of that infamous VMA appearance. She's done a great job of changing public perception of her without going off the deep end.
Mykee Mexx Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Britney, to name one incredibly obvious example. Oh, dear me, another one of those bitches...
Chin for a Day Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I don't think she was Disney, but the huge one that comes to mind is Amanda Bynes. I think Justin Timberlake made the transition from squeaky clean pretty well.
Mykee Mexx Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Why defend her if she doesn´t give a fuck anyway. I just don´t like her. Period.
Guest Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Why defend her if she doesn´t give a fuck anyway. I just don´t like her. Period. Because she's not as utterly shite/worthless as you seem to think she is? I think she's the perfect person to induct Joan Jett.
Mykee Mexx Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Because she's not as utterly shite/worthless as you seem to think she is? I think she's the perfect person to induct Joan Jett. Why should your thinking be more right than mine?

Mykee Mexx Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Because I'm right Okay. I´m fine leaving you with this illusion.
rootbeersoup Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 It's going to be so embarrassing when Green Day is accidentally inducted into Baseball's Hall of Fame
Guest Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Okay. I´m fine leaving you with this illusion. I really haven't seen you justify your position that she sucks yet. It seems like a case of someone older automatically disliking a newer star just because they're new.

It seems like a case of someone older automatically disliking a newer star just because they're new. I don´t need to justify anything. You will learn that, too, when you get older. But here you go, if you need it: I don´t like her because of her voice, and she doesn´t convince me as a singer/musician. There´s nothing musically remarkable or outstanding or special about her for me. Being nasty belongs to her show, but seems not to be authentic to me. So that´s it. Can´t give you more.
scatteredminority Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 How many songs do the bands who get inducted play? I hope they allow them to play a few so they are able to play more than only famous singles.

I've asked the rock hall who the headliner will be and they said they don't announce it beforehand. My guess is it would be between Ringo and GD, but I'm betting on GD.

Guest Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 The dude is currently talking about how much they want to bring people in from out of town.... maybe wood's theory about the Ohio people being shut out of tickets does make sense!
Chin for a Day Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 The dude is currently talking about how much they want to bring people in from out of town.... maybe wood's theory about the Ohio people being shut out of tickets does make sense! He was talking more about economic growth for Cleveland than the actual induction ceremony. It actually does make sense.
Guest Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 He was talking more about economic growth for Cleveland than the actual induction ceremony. It actually does make sense. Oh I didn't get the context, I came in just as he was doing the pitch about bringing more people in.... this is the second time today in this thread I've missed the context.
desertrose Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 They are talking about inductions and performers now.
Cori Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 They are talking about inductions and performers now. What's he saying? For some reason the sound on mine won't work.
Mar Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Oh I didn't get the context, I came in just as he was doing the pitch about bringing more people in.... this is the second time today in this thread I've missed the context. Malcolm, get your shit together. Do you really need another nasty cake sent to you anonymously?! As for Miley, ugh. I definitely think she's not stupid and I think she has grown up a lot and is a decent person, but I just cannot stand her voice and her songs. She's a shitty live performer and can just take the obnoxiousness beyond simple trolling to being straight up annoying. I think there could have been someone that was more of Joan's contemporary (Debbie Harry, maybe) who would have been more appropriate, but oh well. I'm still angriest about fucking John Mayer
lizziebix Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 What's he saying? For some reason the sound on mine won't work. Nor for me.
