I wouldn't expect anything new yet. I don't expect we'll hear much of anything for several more months now that Jason needs time to be treated.

I wasn't expecting anything this soon at all. It could be 6 or so months before we actually know. I don't think Billie Joe would've posted it at all if it had no relevance to anything coming up in 2015.

I think Billie knew about that when he posted the "Green Day 15" thing. The Big Cats post on Facebook said: "A few weeks ago Jason found out that his two month long sore throat was in fact a bit of cancer...". Billie's Instagram post came out maybe a week before that announcement, and I think it's safe to assume Billie was one of the first persons to know about such a misfortune attacking one of his best friends.

Uhm, I'm not sure I understood what you said, but the post says: "a few weeks ago he found out it was cancer", so I guess the band knew about that even before Billie's Instagram picture.

I don't think they will release an album this soon...But Billie certainly did write some new songs! I think it's either going to be a tour, or something like a dvd or the Heart Like A Handgrenade documentary. I really hope it's a tour though!
