Yeah I do kinda want the vinyl more as a collector and i do have a turntable but i usually need the download too if it's something i don't already have. I saw that someone somewhere online said that there was a download but still not official. I might just be going to a couple local record stores the monday or tuesday after that friday and see if they have any left over. I worry about the traffic and craziness of black friday. And the stores are both more than 20 minutes away so...

I'll probably check with the record store I ordered Demoliscious from on Monday to see if they have any left and if it comes with the digital download. Then I'll decide what to do after that. Can't make to any stores on Black Friday itself as I have to work so online ordering will be go to.

I'm going to order it as soon as possible, does it have any new tracks, or is the same as the 2001 one? :D

There are plenty of people with the CD that have it ripped in 320 kbps mp3, which is the same, if not better quality as any digital download they'd give you. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find a rip online :ermm:

Yeah I'll probably call a few stores monday. But I'm sure by then you'll know if it comes with a download at least if someone posts about it online. Gotta believe most live stuff available that day has a download code. I find live stuff or demos don't really sound that good on vinyl. So I wouldn't buy it probably if it doesn't have the download. I'd buy Kerplunk! tho either way. Their earliest stuff plus Warning sound the best i think on vinyl.

I've always found that the vinyls sound rawer and better and i just love vinyl, maybe it's just me :P

I would rip it but there just isn't enough room on my computer for winrar or whatever it is called. Plus those download software sites slow my internet down quite a bit and spams up everything. Plus I'd rather go out and have the experience of getting the vinyl plus i don't really own much vinyl anyway.

Green Day to my knowledge as never offered digital along with the vinyl I don't see why they'd start now

Yeah i mean i don't disagree most of the time but at the same time I think there are just some albums that are meant to be listened to digitally whether it's more current or mainstream stuff to me at least. It could just be me tho. I generally like to be in the car blaring live albums.

They both sound great, but I love vinyls, must be cause I collect them. :P

yeah I really doubt GD would have a digital download for it. I always figured bands that released an actual new album on RSD might. but since it's just a rerelease of it I doubt they would. but hey, who knows :P

I do not know why they would release it again, though. Maybe more sales? but I think most of us green day likers probably have listened to it already.

UGH we have no record shops where my family lives, and that's where I'm going to be stuck on black friday  guess I'm going to have to pay overpriced re-sells on ebay the next day

Just because they like supporting record shops, so they've been putting out RSD releases recently. Just something fun to help out the stores

I hope this means the other Japan-only live albums/EPs will get released in the US on vinyl in the near future. I only wish they weren't pressing them on clear colored vinyl. The sound quality isn't as good.

It doesn't make sense to start with this one though :(

GREEN DAY
Tune In, Tokyo 12-inch
This writer is frequently alone in his opinion that Warning is Green Day’s best album, so when Tune In, Tokyo was announced, I got downright giddy–it’s a live recording from the band’s tour in support of the divisive album, with six of its seven songs coming from Warning. Green Day never disappoint live, so this should be pretty rad.

Want this for my collection! Have the day off so taking no chances and not trusting my local record store who screwed me over last RSD (leading to a mad dash across the city!) so heading 2hrs to maximise my chances with more record stores. May even end up with the Morrisey/Ramones LP (and god only knows what else) and hope someone chucks me out of the store forcefully before I do real damage to my credit card.

Anyone know if there is a limited number of these?

How much did they say it was going to be?

I can confirm that there is no digital download. Decided against buying it. Going to another store now to check if they have any kerplunk! vinyl and some various other cd's.

Damn, I hope my mom managed to get this for me for christmas.
