When his hotshot attorney wife (Blair) and daughter forget his 40th birthday, his brother (Messina) takes pity and gives him the money to throw a huge rockstar blowout in a fancy New York hotel. At the party, Perry’s punk past clashes hilariously with his middle-aged reality as he encounters crazy former bandmates and an old-flame-turned-manager (Greer) who offers him a chance to revive his stalled

He's been doing it for 20 years. One of the highlights of being a parent is embarrassing your children.

Green Day Frontman to Play Future Self in ‘Geezer’

Nah, that would imply Green Day are ever breaking up. They'll be going for as long as they're physically capable of playing, and probably a bit longer.

I thought the same thing when I read that article. But it made me excited to see it. *crosses fingers* and hopes his acting is better.

So when it said the movie was sold at Cannes, does that mean that we are a step closer to seeing this thing in theaters?

Was it sold at cannes? I know they were previewing it but I did not read that it was sold. If it was sold it means it was purchased by a distributer so yes, closer to being in theaters

I don't think there is any doubt that he has the charisma, but we will see about the comedic timing. As is often said, dying is easy, comedy is hard.

It seemed to be sold pretty quickly at Cannes, so I'm taking that as a good sign. I vote for he nails it.

I have a feeling all my anticipation that's building up for this movie is gonna be ruined by Billie's dreadful acting. ??

I am hoping that the director for this one was a bit tougher on Billie to be a better actor. Like making him redo scenes multiple times to give the best performance. This seemed like a bit of a higher budget movie than Like Sunday Like Rain so they may have been able to afford doing that.

> Implying Billie's acting being bad makes it any less entertaining to watch

It's entertaining for a little while but I wouldn't be able to stomach two or so hours of it.:lol:
