Ritz Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 That was awesome. Loved the part where each musician plays solos. And Brain Stew is one hell of a song to headbang to!
BullwinkleCheech Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I think Epiphones are miles ahead of Squiers. Never played a Squier that sounded anything other than synthetic sound. I'm assuming you own an Epiphone
DookieLukie Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I'm assuming you own an Epiphone Yes. But when I bought my Epiphone, I also considered buying Squiers. Tried both.
Spike Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I'm assuming you own an Epiphone Yes. But when I bought my Epiphone, I also considered buying Squiers. Tried both. Not that this is remotely on topic, but I've owned four Squiers and three Epiphones in the last 10 years, and you can't say one company is better than the other. It depends entirely on the model, where and when they were made, the specific range, everything. In my experience Epiphone do better basses and acoustic guitars but Squier destroy Epiphone at electrics, with the exception of the Affinity range, which is awful.

Now that we're off topic anyway, the Vintage Modified series by Squier are superb. I play Fender USA myself but I have owned Gibson. Gibson kicks Epihone's ass, Squier kicks Fender Mexico's ass and Fender USA beats all of them in my opinion. Yes. But when I bought my Epiphone, I also considered buying Squiers. Tried both. Why didn't you try Fender? Beats both of them, in my opinion. When it comes to musical instruments, price is usually pretty consistent with the quality. Fenders and Gibsons are better quality than Squiers and Epiphones etc.

My Epiphone Les Paul Standard sounds almost exactly like my cousin's Gibson Les Paul Standard. Aside from the overly thick necks, I love Epiphone acoustics. I'll have to retry a Squier though. If they as really as good as you say, that would be great news.

Just save up and buy a decent guitar man. Epiphone's are good starters but when you want to get real with playing it doesn't suffice in my opinion

DTH Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 another proof cheesy musical vocals can ruin the best songs.
Heather. Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 another proof cheesy musical vocals can ruin the best songs. I think this cast has the cheesiest/weakest of musical vocals by far and there's a reason they are the 3rd group selected. While even the original Broadway cast had its moments of butchering the rock inflections of Green Day songs, most of that cast had enough edge to pull it off. I agree that this version is pretty underwhelming. That brain stew dance was awesome though.
momoluvGD Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 another proof cheesy musical vocals can ruin the best songs. I disagree, I thought it was impressive, especially when they went up the octave. But I like the broadway sound so
