Hermione Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Sometimes it works well. But often it's just a bit "meh" And it's quite a lot less likely to work well when it's a collection of the world's worst bands doing it I'm still looking forward to it though, it'll be funny . I wanna see if any of them can take the crown of worst Green Day cover of all time from Avril Lavigne.
AmyxLongview Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I probably won't listen to it unless there's a band I like that's participating. I haven't even listened to any of the broadway songs just because I don't like hearing other people sing and change my favorite songs.
moonflower93 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Is it possible to order this in america? or do you have to have a subscription if someone in the uk buys two i would love to purchase one i ordered Kerrang here from the states.

Its still Green Day playing different versions of the instrumentals though.
AmyxLongview Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Its still Green Day playing different versions of the instrumentals though. Well yeah but it's mostly the singing that can make it sound so much different. I haven't heard any full songs but I've heard parts of them on Broadway Idiot and I didn't really like the voices of the male leads.
Martyn Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Excited for this, mostly the Frank and 5SOS ones! Frank's doing Extraordinary Girl, not sure if any of the other tracks have been announced yet.

Hermione Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Just to remind you, I got the exclusive on this! huh?He means he found out about this and made a thread about it first, then a few weeks later when Kerrang announced the album another thread was made and his was forgotten. Fair point, I've merged the two threads and will add the extra info from the Kerrang announcement to the OP
Michael Baity Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Still no news on this eh? Ah well time is getting close...
Martyn Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Fuck, can't believe 5 Seconds of Summer are covering Green Day. They are literally the epitome of shitty, corporate boy bands. There are these two girls in my class who are obsessed with these guys, and it literally drives me crazy when they talk about them. And they claim that they are not a "boy band" because they play instruments. Pretty sad. I looked them up, and it looks like they covered Boulevard of Broken Dreams at the Fillmore in San Francisco a couple days ago: Complete shit. You're judging them off 10 seconds of live footage? wow that's gotta be a new low. :/ Anyway great band, one week left til this is released - hope we get track list info soon!

Come on they were all having fun - not hurting anyone - they even said they have ruined GD for everybody. Take it as a compliment that they want to cover GD. I am not a fan of them but Aussie, Aussie, Aussie

They sound like one direction to me. Can't they just to away? This makes me want to throw up.

Spike Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 BOWLING FOR SOUP But yeah. I'll be staying away from the rest of it.
Guest Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I'm so fucking glad that I recognise less than half of those bands. My music taste is still good.
Guest Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I'm so fucking glad that I recognise less than half of those bands. My music taste is still good. i recognise 5 of them, yet my music taste still sucks
The Disappearing Boy Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I literally recognise two bands. So I've no idea what this will be like - it'll be interesting to hear.
Spoopy Doo Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I've only heard of three of them, one from a friend. Never listened to any of them. Not sure how I feel...
