Sharmellow Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I can't believe its already almost here! Holy shit, you're right. There's only one month left. I just pray to god that I have enough money to buy this god forsaking video game.
Guest dar89ren Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 At best, my friends can be called 'casual' Green Day fans (at best). But I've already organized a huge party for the day this damn game comes out. We're gonna play every song non-stop CAN'T WAIT!!!
Green Daynger25 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 This may be Green Day blasphemy, but Mike Dirnt may be the most boring game character of 2010. It probably only took Harmonix a couple hours to develope him. But I agree with it though, as side from putting on a stupid had and glasses at a show, throwing his bass up at the beginning of Brain Stew live, going to the catwalk on LOngview he seems like a statue. At least back in the day he would say some shit at a show. Gotta love 'em though he kicks ass at what he does. Maybe I'm just jealous...
NickD Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 idunno, i think tré looks more boring then mike does in the videos i've seen thus far. he has the same exact expression on his face the whole way through. the only thing that changes is his hair and clothes
ProstheticHeads Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 ^Haha thats true. I also would think Billle would move more like quick head shakes or whatever. He's the more hyper one of the group (at least in the early years).

I'm VERY disappointed by this, probably because I'm an animator and a bassist/Mike fan and getting to work on his character in this game was sort of a dream job of mine that obviously I'll never have now. He just seems...off in the game. Hopefully when it releases I'll find out that we've just not gotten the best videos of him
Micky Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Basket Case is pretty awesome, I really can't wait to have the game! Too bad Mike is ... meh, apathetic?!
Conspiracy. Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 whoa that Basket Case video made me really want this game, now. It's less than a month! I probably won't get any sleep the day it comes out. But I'm still not quite sure if I'll pre-order it or just buy it at the store... Well, probably I'm just gonna go there right after school and get it.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I really like what they did to the mix in Basket Case, the vocals sound really nice, but the video itself lacks a bit imo. During the parts where Billie isn't moving around, they all just stand still and do nothing basically. It's very ... static? meh, I don't know the adjective for it. It's a bit bland. Although I guess it isn't that much of a big deal since you're looking at the thingies that show what you have to play anyway. And I agree on the Mike character.
Alan86 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 First the Longview video then basket case. Is anyone else seeing a pattern here?? When I come around could be next
matteo263 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 ^ then they start with the singles from insomniac: brainstew geek then nice guys good riddance xp and all the singles in order of release
Alan86 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 ^ then they start with the singles from insomniac: brainstew geek then nice guys good riddance xp and all the singles in order of release Yeah thats what im hoping for
Ally Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 i want to buy this when is out but i have to buy rock band first cos i dont have a compatible guitar...unless they are releasing the game with a guitar? I can't find it on amazon though, so i presume its just the game Ah well just have to wait and to buy it, until i can afford to get a guitar i can play it with
Jinjonator Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 If they give us another song video, I'd rather they give us something from Milton Keynes or Fox Theater. Tbh, I never really expected the animations from The Warehouse to be anything amazing; but I think MK and FT will be where the animations really shine.
JonnieSniper Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 but if they had songs from 1039 smoothed out slappy hours, what they gonna do about Tre being on drums on the game?

Tbh, I never really expected the animations from The Warehouse to be anything amazing; but I think MK and FT will be where the animations really shine. If the next video was to be in fox, I really want to know what the animations are like for Christian's Inferno and American Eulogy. In those songs I'm really hoping we see the band go crazy.
Jinjonator Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 but if they had songs from 1039 smoothed out slappy hours, what they gonna do about Tre being on drums on the game? Literally nothing whatsoever. There's no reason they'd take out someone very interesting (Tre Cool) to replace him with someone most people have never heard of and who isn't that interesting (guy whose name I honestly can't remember right now). It's like climbing to the top of Mount Doom for the sole purpose of having someone kick you in the balls; why go through all that trouble to end up worse off?
LetItBeHappy Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 god, my uncle just bought my little cousins a Play Station 2. Does the game works there? D:
Jinjonator Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Nope. And why would someone even bother buying a PS2? Especially if they don't already have a current-gen console. How silly.
LetItBeHappy Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Nope. And why would someone even bother buying a PS2? Especially if they don't already have a current-gen console. How silly. well, my cousins are 6 and 8 years old. The 6 years old one throws everything away when he gets angry... So I don't think that buying him a Play Station 3 or a Wii or anything better than a PS2 would be a good idea damn, I got my hopes up for nothing xd
JHyena86 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 There was a page on GD RB in Game Informer this month, it's not much but thought I'd post it: I think that's the first screen of Mike in-game that I haven't hated...
ParadoxAndPlaid Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Lol, So today I was thinking: Every time the guys get new tattoos, they should have downloadable content to update them on RockBand. Just to be as authentic as possible
