I am so pissed. They shafted us all with this game. They made Beatles Rock Band amazing, and they give us 2 albums, 3 venues, no DLC and a handful of other songs? What the fuck is that? "We can't do DLC because we have specific sequences for specific songs." BULLSHIT. I wouldn't care if the band just sat in chairs and played, as long as I got some DLC.

God dammit Harmonix.

uh, they can't add new sequences, the Beatles DLC rehashed all of the motions from the songs on the disc, Green Day on the other hand they motion captured Green Day's live performances, so it'll look retarded if they're moving completely out of synch with the songs.

Harmonix are screwing us with the lack of DLC

There can still be DLC in Rock Band 1, 2, and 3 for the rest of the albums

I wouldn't mind one with rosewood (like I said before, Blue's fretboard is so old and dirty it almost looks rosewood anyway, lol), they are better made, the buttons aren't nearly as noisy, the strum bar is better, and they have a small microphone and light sensor for auto calibration

Exactly. One of the main reasons The Beatles Rock Band only had 45 tracks in the main game is because they had planned an albums worth of DLC to be available right after the game was released. If Harmonix was never planning any extra Green Day DLC, then we should have gotten more main game tracks.

I definitely agree. I'd say the best way to get the dlc we want is anyone who can afford it, buy it. Let's see if that works and see if maybe then we'll get some DLC.

the reason why it sounds so much better is because on the albums, Green Day's tracks get compressed like crazy, making it sound kinda muddy (their one flaw, imo) through headphones and good sound systems, whereas in a car it'll sound fine cranked all the way up. These are the raw recordings that Harmonix mixes themselves to sound great in the game.

Expect to hear A LOT of things you've never heard before on the albums (one interview mentioned the bass lines in American Idiot WILL catch you off guard in the game cause they were so mixed down and compressed on the album you don't really hear some of the intricacies that Mike threw in). The vocals for She, in particular, sounds like they mixed Billie in the center, with Mike's backing vocals towards the outside, not too much, but just enough to be off center and not bleed in with Billies, giving them a fuller sound overall

I can with, utmost certainty, guarantee you'll prefer the mixes in the game to the CD after you play it, it'll sound so much clearer.

Yes they are center panned with Billie's. Most harmonies/back-up vocals are stereo spread left and right (well, for Green Day anyway)... and for 'She' they are not. I can tell by removing the center aligned audio.

System doesn't matter, the bass pedal works the same for all the kits (not sure about GH pedal on a RB kit and vice versa, tho)

This is exactly how I feel. I dont care how the game looks, I dont care about the picture extras, I dont care about mocap, I care about the music that they left off in spite of those things...

But whatever. I'm still completely stoked for this game and happy that some of the rarer AI/Dookie songs got on their (Homecoming, In The End, Having a Blast) But I do feel a little cheated, especially considering that Nimrod is my favorite album...

Doesn't it seem a bit silly that they're skipping 7 years from the beginning of their career and then (basically) 10 in the middle?

You can compare Green Day Rock Band exactly to Metallica Guitar hero, like that game had 26 Metallica songs and the only DLC was to complete Death Magnetic (Metallica's latest album). Its exactly the same situation here.

and with the venues bullet in a bible was chosen because of they recorded BIAB there. fox theater was chosen because its a small venue and thats where did previewed the album. with the 3rd venue that isnt a real place was chosen because woodstock was in the day and day venues dont work good and they had been kicked out of gilman by than and than green day suggested that fake venue because they liked playing house partys and all that

Thanks for passing that info on. I don't buy it though , there's no explanation for virtually ignoring the 10 years and 3 albums between Dookie and AI there. Lame excuses

I bought rock band drums today, thought if I start building up my collection then by the time it comes out I'll have more than just one guitar and I won't have to go out and spend hundreds at once. Can't wait

Its a shame that there aren't the earliest two albums but the game is going to be awesome anyway so I shan't complain
