Right between Tre's legs you can see the 21st Century Breakdown eagle, even though it's supposed to play in the Dookie Era.

Thanks for that. And it seems like they just said no Kerplunk or SOSH for DLC for same reason it's not in the game, so may be hope for some Insomniac, Warning, and Nimrod somewhere in the future. We'll hope. And it's not like GD couldn't re-record those songs at some point...though I doubt it'll happen.

After reading their description of venues, I s'pose the Dookie one makes sense. Being an 3D artist/animator I know how much of a bitch lighting is, but doesn't mean I'm not disappointed about no mud-stock. It wouldn't have been THAT hard...ah well.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but from watching the trailer I thought it really sounded like they re-recorded those songs for Rock Band.

The vocal track definitely sounds different on She. Might just be a different take or something from original recordings, cos it doesn't really sound new. Hmm...

As for them not wanting to do live versions of old songs: why not??

No, they have mentioned there isn't even access to the Rock Band store from the main game.

Although I think the old saying, money talks and bullshit walks. If this game sells a lot then you can bet there will be some DLC.

Here is more details about the lack of DLC

Rock Band project lead Chris Foster revealed that Green Day won't receive any DLC beyond the 21st Century Breakdown tracks that are already available on the Rock Band store. According to Foster, Harmonix has crafted "sculpted experiences for every single song" complete with specific animations. Unlike the dreamscapes of The Beatles: Rock Band, the work that's been done on other tracks can't simply be reconfigured for Green Day.

As such, Foster said that the team decided instead to focus on rounding out 21st Century Breakdown with the already available tracks, which will feature their own motion capture, assets and bonuses that fully tie into the game. Maybe not the best news, but it's not like the band sings about the boulevard of fulfilled dreams, does it?

It was really good to hear more about this game, although I am disappointed that the hopes are low for any DLC, but that doesnt mean its not possible, it only takes a small game update to add an option for the store on the main menu, and having specific animations for each song, pretty much means that the band will have to Mo-cap for the DLC, and that the DLC will be very large in size. I'm glad they explained their reasons for not having Woodstock and the Pre-Dookie albums, The unlockable content sounds like its going to be really good. I love the way they talked about Tre singing Rock'n'Roll Girlfriend too!

I agree, I always thought that the game wouldn't get any DLC if it didn't sell well, But if it does sell well, they will have to put in the extra effort to make DLC.
