Joy of suburbia. Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I'm pretty happy with the setlist, wish there had been more off of Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning (I really wanted Walking Contradiction, King For a Day, and Waiting) and couldn't they have at least got a few songs off of Kerplunk and 1039SOSH? Yeah, same here. I really wanted Hitchin A Ride, Misery, Macy's Day Parade, Blood, Sex and Booze, 2,000 Light Years Away, Going to Pasaquala, Brain Stew, Jaded and Haushinka...or just all of Kerplunk for that matter. I could really go on and on so let me stop now. xD Hopefully, that will be downloadable.
Lyz Z Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Yeah, same here. I really wanted Hitchin A Ride, 2,000 Light Years Away, and Brain Stew, Jaded and Haushinka. Hopefully, that will be downloadable. All those songs would be great, as well as Going to Pasalacqua. That's an all-time favourite song of a lot of Green Day fans.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Yeah, same here. I really wanted Hitchin A Ride, 2,000 Light Years Away, and Brain Stew, Jaded and Haushinka. Hopefully, that will be downloadable. Brain Stew and Hitchin' a Ride are in the game
Jinjonator Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I honestly don't know how Woodstock wasn't their first (or at least second, after Milton Keynes) choice for a venue. I mean, when I heard that when you lose, they have fights break out between the band and audience, my first thought was, "They probably included that feature solely for the sake of Woodstock". Since it's not in there...it just makes no sense. And really, 3 venues? And do we know for sure they aren't doing any individualized sets for certain songs like they did in Beatles? I honestly can't think of any reason they wouldn't or couldn't, and since there's only 3 actual venues, they owe us that. As far as the setlist, it's about what I expected. Still disappointed by the lack of the first 2 albums (and I still don't know how that'll make sense in the career mode, which won't even cover their whole career), but I love every song on the list, so it works (although Last Night On Earth will be the most boring thing to play, I don't know why they put that in).
Joy of suburbia. Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Brain Stew and Hitchin' a Ride are in the game oh, damn...thanks. That's a silp-up on my behalf. xD
Jacob. Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Im very excited for the game, but the setlist is kind of dissapointing. They should have at least more from Kerplunk, Warning, Nimrod, and Insomniac songs like Walking Contradiction, Stuck With Me, Scattered, Macys Day Parade, 86, Redundant, King For A Day, Prosthetic Head, One Of My Lies, 2000 Light Years Away, Private Ale, 80, No One Knows, One for the Razorbacks, and Christie Road. I hope alot of Kerplunk, Nimrod, Insomniac, and Warning songs they missed are included on a DLC pack in the time after they release this game
NowhereBound Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Yeah, just the band set. This one, in fact; http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rock-Band-Box-Wii/dp/B001D77930/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1270823389&sr=8-6 Thanks for the help...
porksoda Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 This info has got to be fake. Why would they leave out stuff like Going to Pasalacqua, 2000 Lightyears Away and J.A.R.? And 3 venues? No way. I know it's from Entertainment Weekly, but it seems fake, I'm calling it.

No way. I know it's from Entertainment Weekly, but it seems fake, I'm calling it. I hope that it's fake. But if it's from an actual magazine, you may have to accept that it's true. Though I wish they did have more venues and older songs, we're lucky we even got the game, really.
Steven Samuels Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Can I pretend the warehouse is the warehouse in toronto (now called the kool haus)? Maybe they couldn't include pre-dookie songs due to issues with it being on another label? I agree woodstock would have been cool.....imagine using the wii remote to fling clumps of mud Nope, Lookout! Records folded years ago, and on top of it GD pulled 1039/smooth and Kerplunk! off of Lookout! because they didn't pay royalties and withheld a few million dollars from the band.
saraHsunshine Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Ok. So my reaction was a bit un-needed. I would love to see Going to Pasalaqua, a few Kerplunk songs, and WARNING on here but I will live. I am still soooo excited! I was like 'WTF' too, when I saw the venues. But maybe Gilman didn't want to end up in to the game or something. So yeah lack of Woodstock is weird. Maybe they didnt want to pay the animators to deal with mud-slinging I wonder what color hair the Dookie version of Green Day will have?! I also wonder if they paid enough attention to add tats as the career goes along!! But seriously, the epicness of Dominated Love Slave on this game? Or Like A Rat Does Cheese :eyebrow: but as if that would ever happen. THIS! EDIT! PAGE OWN!
XBlade1X Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Thanks for the link, I don't mind the set list, although I am a bit disappointed with the venues. That setlist is kinda meh. It's three complete albums and a handful of singles. After all the rumours it doesn't really come as a surprise, but I had still hoped for some more variation. And it still pisses me off I won't be able to get the DLC songs unless I buy RB. And only three venues? Don't get me wrong, I'm still very exited for this game, but I'm not gonna pretend it doesn't disappoint me a little. You only need Green Day Rock Band to get the DLC, Not the original, or Rock Band 2.
ProstheticHeads Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Is there any reason Green Day can only have 47 songs in the game...why not 55...why not 60. Especially since most of the songs are relatively short. but overall, im disappointed only 2 insomniac songs were on the game. I was looking forward to Panic Song No Pride and 86...

I think I already asked but I can't remember the answer - are the DLC tracks for all of the game systems?
LadyPeacemaker20 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 This reminds me! I think I already asked but I can't remember the answer - are the DLC tracks for all of the game systems? I'm pretty sure. I've seen the dlc on the 360 and the ps3. Not so sure about the wii version though.
saraHsunshine Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I'm pretty sure. I've seen the dlc on the 360 and the ps3. Not so sure about the wii version though. That is what I was worried about When I searched Green Day in the Rock Band store it only came up for XBOX 360 and I have a WII
LadyPeacemaker20 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I have a wii also but I can't tell you. I've never really heard of DLC for the wii anyway. Which I think is unfair. I mean, if you're going to have online, might as well add DLC. If you have a ps3 or 360, you may want to get it for that console instead. That way you know you'll have DLC.
saraHsunshine Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Sadly I don't have either of those :/ Oh well.

SynthwaveTrooper Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 After seeing the track listing i will not be picking up this game at all.
Robin105 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Do all you guys know is how to complain? EVERYTHING Green Day come out with I see millions of complaints. LOTAGs video: Oh I don't like how Gloria looks in the video and the dancers are so annoying. Green Day Rockband: Oh I don't like the tracklist, or the venues. Seriously it's getting annoying. Am I the only one on here that actually doesn't find fault with anything Green Day do? I'm pretty excited that Dookie, American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown will be in full. I pretty much expected that. And as for the venues. That doesn't bother me at all. I'm pretty sure that the reason they didn't put 1039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours or Kerplunk on the game is because not many people except for us hardcore fans (which with all this complaining doesn't make you a hardcore fan) know. Dookie and American Idiot are Green Day's most popular albums so even people that are just fans of Green Day will know them and 21st Century Breakdown is there new one which will attract new fans. Seriously I am tired of this complaining already. Sorry to sound like such an ass but it is annoying.
Young_Nastyman Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Brain Stew and Hitchin' a Ride are in the game and Jaded is bundled with Brain Stew I checked today with my Wii online and there really aren't DLC so not fair The Wii does have DLC

Seriously I am tired of this complaining already. Sorry to sound like such an ass but it is annoying. Oh I completely understand that they have to market it to all of the people who only know the three most famous albums. You have a very valid perspective but I just want to point out that a lot of the reason there has been complaining is because we are "hardcore fans" and we had high hopes. None of the complaining is directed at Green Day themselves, since they obviously have neither the time nor the experience to oversee and design every detail of the game (or for that matter the music video - not to start that discussion again since so many of us have our very strong opinions). I get that you are annoyed because this thread has become a bit negative, but people need to express their frustration. I am sure this game will be a great product and I am glad you are happy with the song listing. I know that I am still getting the game and I know I will have fun playing it, but I also feel it could have been a little more special had the producer been able to keep "hardcore fans" in mind while trying to cater to the masses and make the company lots of money. The Wii does have DLC IT DOES!!!! How do you get to it and does it/will it have Green Day songs on it?!
Young_Nastyman Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 IT DOES!!!! How do you get to it and does it/will it have Green Day songs on it?! You have to have Rock Band 2 (or Green Day when it comes out) first of all, and you get it by going into the in game music store and it will have the 6 Green Day songs already available (21 Guns, Know Your Enemy, East Jesus Nowhere, Last of the American Girls, ¡Viva La Gloria!, and Christian's Inferno) BUT if you buy the Plus edition of Green Day it comes with those six on the disc. And you can buy whatever other DLC they release in the future the same way
LadyPeacemaker20 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I checked today with my Wii online and there really aren't DLC so not fair Yeah that's what I was worried about. All in all, other than that little issue, I am excited for the game. I think even my boyfriend will be wanting to play, mainly since he wants to see if he's as good as Tre. ^^ Green Day Conversion on it's way!
