This is really surprising. I have never played this game but I'd never guess BS is so difficult.

Brain Stew isn't so bad, but Jaded is basically impossible. I'm pretty good on the drums and do pretty well on expert, but some of Tre's stuff is super tough in this game.

Makes sense. The drums are super fast in this one.

Yeah and you can't play the songs separately. Brain Stew/Jaded are one song. Same goes for Are We The Waiting/St. Jimmy and Give Me Novocaine/She's A Rebel.

Oh yeah Jaded is the hard part on instruments. For singing it's Brain Stew that's the problem though, seems like you have to be more precise than the other songs somehow and it's often hard to tell what the note should be because of the way Billie sings it, for example getting each of the three notes of "still I try" correct is extremely difficult. I could swear I'm singing it right but apparently not :P

I used to have this game for Wii, it isn't that bad but there's some flaws.

The biggest flaw i have with this game is that you need to buy DLC to complete it, as there's one video that you can only unlock by playing the entire 21st Century Breakdown album of which 6 of those songs needed to be bought separately, i don't know what the video is since i never bought the DLC (i'd love to know). They should've included those 6 songs on the disc.

Another flaw i have with this game is that they don't allow you to play Oh Love if you downloaded it in the game despite it being released only 2 years after the game. I don't like how they don't let you pick what venue you want to play the song in either, if it can be done with Guitar Hero why not here, why can't i play Basket Case at Milton Keynes or Geek Stink Breath at the Fox Theatre. This one may be nitpicking but i don't like how they don't chart all solos as solos, such as Tre's drum solo in Jesus Of Suburbia. Another nitpick is the lack of Jason White, it doesn't change the gameplay but it doesn't feel right not having him.

The final flaw i have with this game is the setlist. The setlist includes Dookie (minus All By Myself) and American Idiot in it's entirety as well as 2/3 of 21st Century Breakdown (with the other 6 songs being available via DLC) and 3 songs off Insomniac and Nimrod and 2 songs off Warning. Since it includes all of their popular songs (if you have the DLC that is) it's far better than The Beatles Rock Band when it comes to setlists but there's some songs that i think should belong in the game. I know they couldn't include anything pre Dookie because the master tapes weren't in the best condition but that didn't mean they couldn't include the remake of 2,000 Light Years Away, which would've been a great song to play along to. Another song that would've been great to have is King For A Day, i know they can't have Billie strip to his underwear like he does live and i'd be fine with that but they still could've included the song which although wasn't released as a single is a live staple. One swap i think they should've done is replacing Warning with Waiting which is a more popular and better song to play along to. Finally, it would've been nice to see some material from International Superhits and Shenanigans, i would love to play J.A.R. or Ha Ha Your Dead on Green Day Rock Band.

I have the game, but I've never played it. I bought it at my first job when the store was all in clearance (it closed). I thought I would buy the instruments for the Wii within a few months, but it never happenned. :/

I have long since imported the songs from the disc into Rock Band 3 to make it easier to play em. Thanks to the RB Customs community I've thrown on all of RevRad and tons of stuff ranging from Kerplunk to the trilogy to play too. Rock Band is still my go-to party game.

I'm that one person in my group of friends that's like hey guys... Rock band? The answer is usually no.

I still have this on Xbox 360 and am keen to jam if anyone wants to add me (Gamertag is the same as my profile name). I play Rock Band 4 on the X1 too, and have all imports as well as loads of DLC.

I play this with my nephew all the time now, he loves singing American Idiot :D
